Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Fraiche ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 February 2016 9 Comments

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Fraîche

Issey Miyake has introduced L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Fraîche. The new fragrance for men is a flanker to 1994′s L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme.

The fragrance is airy and fresh and apparently full of energy and dynamism. Its citrus, aquatic and woody composition is signed by perfumer Christophe Raynaud. The energy of brusque grapefruit meets the power of white patchouli.

Additional notes include vetiver.

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Fraîche is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

    White patchouli? *Big question-mark face*

Yeah, it’s not a real thing. It’s like “crystal musk” or “white amber”, code for “not huge and heavy and stinky”.

I don’t really understand how L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme could be any more fraîche than it always was.

It’s hard to imagine deciding the original L’Eau d’Issey was just too big a fragrance for you :-)

My thoughts exactly: fraiche-er, fraiche-est, etc. and loved the “apparently” full of energy and dynamism.

Great minds think alike — the “apparently” made my morning.

Not only a blind man in a rush might mistake his bottle for Chanel’s Pour Monsieur!

When already “fresh” fragrances and sports frags get even “fresher” flankers, it really makes me wonder about the ontological limits of “fresh.” The logic seems to imply that at some point solutions of pure ethanol, turpentine, or acetone will soon be sitting on department store counters.
