Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2015, part 20

Posted by Robin on 8 October 2015 15 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector editions from Annick Goutal, Viktor & Rolf, Thierry Mugler and Philosophy.

Annick Goutal Petite Chérie, midnight blue bottle

From Annick Goutal, the ever popular Petite Chérie in midnight blue with gold accents. Coming later this month in 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via fashion-press.net)

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon

From Viktor & Rolf, a bow-on-bow edition of Bonbon: "Adorning a Limited Edition sculpted bottle and stone-encrusted bow, Bonbon eau de parfum by Viktor & Rolf exudes a timeless sensation inviting a pure and absolute pursuit of pleasure." £74 for 50 ml at Selfridges in the UK.

Thierry Mugler Angel Immaculate Star

From Thierry Mugler, Angel in the Immaculate Star edition: "Thierry Mugler’s iconic Angel fragrance gives way to a new re-imagining: Angel Immaculate Star. Presented in a refillable glass bottle, also a subtle design update of the classic star, this eau de parfum was specially designed to stimulate the senses with its alchemy of intimate and sensual notes."  £120 for 75 ml, refillable, also at Selfridges.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Special Edition

From Philosophy, the Amazing Grace Special Edition: "philosophy has dressed its best-selling, amazingly clean, beautifully feminine amazing grace up for the season with this special limited-edition version. Featuring the finest concentration of amazing grace—the eau de parfum—in an elegantly crafted frosted glass bottle in shimmering blush, tucked inside packaging dotted with stars and snowflakes." $56 for 60 ml at Nordstrom.

          It’s tempting, and I don’t even wear Angel 🙂

Bah humbug… This sounds way grouchier than I feel, but that AG bottle looks like CAL Bear bling to me…

I’m picturing Viktor & Rolf scratching their heads and saying, “How can we make the Bonbon bottle even uglier? I know–let’s add another bow!”

Me hopes the BonBon bottle comes to the U.S., and Saks has a Flowerbomb collector’s set! It’s extravagant, but oh so pretty! Another me wants! Haha!

It’s clever of AG to shift the main line to simpler, presumably less expensive bottles and release limited editions of the glamorous colored glass bottles. I wonder if the shade of this one is accurate. The Nuit Etoilee bottle always looked like that in photos but is more of a teal shade in real life.

And BTW, they have the most beautiful aqua version of the spherical bottle with the butterfly stopper up on the website for Petite Cherie, and what appears to be an opaque deep blue bottle with a gold stopper for Nuit Etoilee (210 euros).

Yes — I did include both of those in earlier posts! I think they’ve been around for awhile.

And good to know. The description did say Midnight Blue but who knows…
