Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2015, part 9

Posted by Robin on 5 June 2015 11 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector bottles from Acqua di Parma and Loewe; a new purse spray for Cartier La Panthère; new concentrations for Kenzo Jeu d'Amour and Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez; and new packaging for solid perfumes from Ormonde Jayne.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza collector

From Acqua di Parma, a special edition of Colonia Essenza: "The decoration on Acqua di Parma's Special Edition black bottle is inspired by the tuxedo and bow tie, an elegant and unique pattern, entirely handcrafted by Italian master glassmakers. This refillable bottle becomes a collector's item for the connoisseurs of Colonia Essenza." 180 ml, £140 at Selfridges in the UK.

Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile collector

And coming soon from Acqua di Parma, a special edition of Magnolia Nobile: "With decorative motifs inspired by the aesthetics of Art Deco jewellery, the entire surface of the signature bottle features a 24k gold accent etched with a delicate sinuous motif." Launching in August in 100 ml. (via fashioninsight.co.uk)

Aire Loewe Cristales Granja

From Loewe, a collector bottle of Aire Loewe celebrating the perfume's 30th anniversary. 300 bottles were hand made by La Real Fábrica de Cristales de la Granja. (via perfumeriacosmetica)

Cartier La Panthère purse spray

From Cartier, a purse spray for La Panthère Eau de Parfum, with 25 ml spray, 75 ml refill plus black suede pouch. At Harrods, £93.

Kenzo Jeu d'Amour EdT

From Kenzo, a new 'fresher and lighter' Eau de Toilette concentration of Jeu d'Amour, with pear, lemon blossom, freesia, tuberose, white musk and cedar. In 30, 50 and 100 ml. (via leparisien.fr)

 Narciso EdT

From Narciso Rodriguez, a new Eau de Toilette for Narciso: "Minimalist and beautiful, Narciso celebrates the art of seduction in an understated way. Where the Eau de Parfum is carnal, this Eau de Toilette is magnetic, lending a hypnotising lightness of touch to the familiar, sensuous character of the original. The Narciso Eau de Toilette opens with a delicate combination of peony and Bulgarian rose, before a heart of signature musk envelops like a second skin. In the base, an elegant duo of cedar woods is joined by vetiver for a mesmerising dry down." In 30, 50 and 90 ml, at Escentual in the UK.

Ormonde Jayne solid perfumes 2015

From Ormonde Jayne, new packaging for the line's solid perfumes. Available in Ormonde Woman, Osmanthus, Ta'if and Tolu, $176 each at Ormonde Jayne.

That bottle is genius. I like the fragrance quite a bit, too, but was sold on the bottle and had to have it.

The black AdP is ok, I’d like just a 25 ml chaton bottle..no refill bottle needed, don’t like it *that* much. lol.

It’s confusing that Cartier would use the Extrait/Legere bottle for the EDP. When I saw the picture, I was hoping for a Legere purse spray.

I’m interested to try Narciso EDT, though.

It seems surprising that the lighter concentration of Narcisco would be put in a black bottle. Counterintuitive. I think I would have gone with silver. Still, I’m interested in sniffing it. Love the original.

I bought a bottle; it’s very similar to the original, but with no strong gardenia note and peony in it’s place. Fresher and more suitable for day/summer wear, but still smells very close to the original.

I do prefer the original, but I like having an option for everyday use.
