It's Chanel TNG* Friday! Our community project for today: wear something by perfumer Olivier Polge. If you don't have anything by Olivier Polge, do feel free to wear an older Chanel fragrance, or skip it altogether. What did you pick?
I'm wearing Repetto Le Parfum, which was waiting for a second try. It's too 'pretty in pink' / girly for me.
Reminder: next Friday, 10 April, is BWF Friday: wear a big white floral. Partial credit for diet white florals, a wee bitsy dash of credit for other sorts of flowers. The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2015, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
*That's TNG for Star Trek The Next Generation. I apologize for using technical terminology without explanation, and am surprised that nobody brought it up until yesterday!
I gave Misia a second try today. It was just sugared violets the first time, but it’s singing to me today, I’m getting other notes as well. Beautiful and it’s better and better as the day goes on. I’ll see how things go, I will definitely order a decant and probably wear it to work a lot. Really well done!
Good 🙂
I’m with you 100%.
I’m also wearing Misia for the second time today and also enjoying it more. The first time, the iris stood in the way of the rest of the notes and, although I could smell the violets (but no rose), I found the fragrance a bit standoffish and too cool for my taste, although I admired its elegance. This time the violet and rose are beautifully blended and I can smell both; with the iris in the background, the fragrance seems warmer and more inviting while still maintaining its elegance.
I’m also wearing Le Dix, Lipstick Rose, and Meteorites (on different parts of my body) and will be enjoying the evolution of Misia as compared to the others throughout the day.
SOTD is Balenciaga Paris. I have finished my decant and want more.
A lovely green powdery violet and a little of spicy carnation.
Someone mentioned in comments the other day that one of the discounters is selling a mini…I’m tempted myself.
Thanks, Robin, but I am in Ukraine, and because of the exchange rate I cannot afford buying almost anything from abroad anymore.
But we have perfume splitting communities here too, so I think I’ll be able to get a 5-10 ml decant of this scent that way.
Ah, sorry then…and good luck finding some!
Scent twins! I love this one. I have a sample, and even though I haven’t finished the sample yet, I’m considering a small bottle. It would have to be under 30mL though…Too much perfume, not enough time.
Hi, twin!:)
It is such a lovely and unique scent.
It has a carnation note?NOW I have to go dig out my bottle!!
BP here too. Got the cutest little mini on ebay, and it’s all I’ll ever need.
I get something peppery that could be a hint of carnation….
You know, I checked the notes, and it appears that only Fragrantica lists carnation as a note. The other websites (including Balenciagafragrance) just mention “peppery notes”. I detect spiciness that subtly reminds me of carnation, but it could be some kind of cleverly disguised pepper.
SOTD is Interlude Man (Amouage)
Enjoy!
Probably my favorite Amouage!
Right now I am agreeing with you, and I thought that Jubilation XXV was my favorite. Still love them both, but IM will likely get more skin time, thinking it will be ok in summer as long as it is lightly applied.
I’m wearing Midnight in Paris. I also own Spicebomb but was more in the mood for MIP.
Honestly can’t remember if I’ve smelled that one, but boy, never hear about it!
Kind of underrated really! It’s kind of along the lines of Tonka Imperiale but with leather.
Really nice stuff. I couldn’t find Gaze’s mini so I wound up with Pure Poison – but MiP is so relaxed.
Will need to seek out a sample of MiP…
I’m in the lovely Misia. I adored the top notes the first time around, but for some reason they gave me a tiny fright this morning. Anyway, it’s settled to the most beautiful sweet violet by now, so I couldn’t be happier.
Misia is going to be popular today.
Vintage78, Luca Turin says “Misia initially seems a little underpowered, which may have something to do with the smell-numbing power of ionones, of which it contains a hefty slug.” I have a hard time smelling the top notes at all!
Wow, that’s surprising! I get tonnes of creamy iris with a hint of powdery sweetness. We’re having a very rainy day today, so the iris felt a tad too melancholy in the morning.
I have no OP’s that I know of, so I stuck with my one and only Chanel- the incomparable Bois de Iles.
Pure gorgeousness! And thanks to the lovely swapper here on NST that sent me a decant of the edt and sample of the extrait to boot (waving at AnnS)! I’m showing both a lot of love 🙂
Happy Friday to All!
Yep, you smell gorgeous.
Scent twins! Wearing BdI parfum. I only have one Oliver Polge scent — Spicebomb sample — I like it, but wasn’t in the mood for it this morning.
😉
I’m wearing the lovely L’Ambre des Merveilles – thanks, Deva!
Lisa D, your package just arrived. It’s like Christmas all over again. I had to pick my up jaw off the floor when I busted into the box like a 7 year old. Many, many thanks!
Hoping the l’Ambre made it one piece and you are enjoying it and that your weekend is fabulous 😀
That’s good news. Hermes arrived safe and sound, and I got complimented on how good I smelled, upon first wearing! Let me know what you think about the Domino Viole – it kinda reminds me of Onda…
Have a great weekend, yourself!
Haven’t decided yet whether I’ll go hunt up my mfr spray sample of Pure Poison (lord only knows how old it is – I think that one’s been d/c for some time, right?) or go steal my son’s mini of Midnight in Paris for today. I had a sample of Balenciaga Paris at one point but I don’t know where that is…
I am going to have fun with BWFs next week. 🙂 Will definitely be wearing my new sample of Teo Cabanel Lace Garden at some point, and will pull out the 16″/50 caliber ship’s gun of Fracas on Friday. I still only have a sample of it, but (ahem) that’s all I need.
Dang. Totally forgot to look for a sample of Lace Garden. I’m convinced I will love it, which probably means my expectations are too high and I won’t, and the bottle is so pretty.
Mais, I may just skip BWF Friday and donate my points to you as the BWF Queen. 🙂 My usual stance on BWF is . . . Just. Say. No., and Diet White Floral = Oxymoron!
I’m wearing my only OP creation Dior Homme. When I put it on this morning I realised that I can’t even remember when I bought it. I like it for it’s soothing presence, and slightly gourmand character. I wish everyone a good Easter.
I’m so confused by what they’re doing over at Dior — do they even make the original any more?
I really don’t know. I haven’t got a clue about how old my bottle is as I bought it “2nd hand” on ebay. It’s a shame about Dior though, they had stunning creations and little of that seems to be left today.
Thanks.
On the Dior website they list, Dior Homme, Dior Homme parfum, Dior Homme Intense (edp), Dior Homme Sport, Dior Homme Cologne. So something resembling the original is probably still being made.
Sorry, I should have been more specific: I know they still make Dior Homme but don’t know if it is related to the original Olivier Polge scent or if it was totally redone a la Miss Dior — which I thought I’d heard at some point.
Scent twins! This is the only OP I own as well, but I really want to get a sample of Misia. It is really lovely and I wonder why I don’t wear it more.
Happy Easter!
I’ll want to sample Misia at some point as well. I love violet-roses and I’m very interested to try how this Chanel version on the theme behaves.
Oops! I totally forgot about Chanel Friday, so I’m wearing Miss Dior even though I have a few Chanels.
Ah well, no matter!
I am not a Chanel girl, but I own and like the OP creations Bulgari The Rouge and Dior Homme from OP. Today is a The Rouge day, fits perfectly with kitchen duty for tomorrow.
I went with Spicebomb — something about it feels Passover-appropriate.
Now I’m curious. Does it smell like charoset?
Not *really* — it’s also a combination of sweetness and spice but definitely with different sweets and spices. I guess it is close enough to make the synapse fire for me, though! Also, it has enough oomph to feel festive but not so much to suffocate me during cooking or my companions during dinner.
Dayenu!
hahahah
Got another sample of Balanciaga Paris with my Nordies order the other day so figured it was a sign I needed to sample it again. For some reason I love it this go ’round. I remember being completely underwhelmed last time.
*Balenciaga. Grrr. Need more coffee.
It underwhelmed me too. I mean, I *LIKED* it. But I kept forgetting I was wearing it. Like, “Oh, I forgot to put perfume on… oh wait, no, I did put it on. I just can’t smell it.”
Exactly. It is really a nice scent and I’m a bit sad I didn’t grab the heavily discounted gift set at Marshall’s, but I probably wouldn’t actually wear it that much. I probably should keep my eyes opened for a mini.
Horrible Friday- dropped my phone and my screen is cracked
19 Poudre
AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH. RIP phone. (I did get one of those rubbery-plastic case things for mine, about $5 on Amazon, and even though I’ve dropped it about four times since, it’s survived intact. But I suppose it matters how the phone lands, too. It could probably still crack even in the case.)
Damn, so sorry! Is it still useable with a crack? I dropped my phone a couple of times – it’s an LG G3 monster phone and too big for my small hands.
Sorry to hear. It’s worth checking out repairs – when I smashed my phone screen a few months ago, I found a place that replaced screens – 1 hour, $100. Cheaper than a new phone.
And there are tutorials online, if you are a DIY kinda gal.
I somewhat feel your pain:did my cellphone upgrade today, and went from Iphone to Sony Experia. It feels like I don’t even know the alphabet anymore:that’s how dumb the new gadget makes me feel!lol
If it’s an iPhone, call Apple to see if they can fix it in-store and if the first store says there’s nothing they can do, try calling another store. A friend of mine had this experience and to say that I was shocked at the divergent response from store to store is an understatement.
Neither of my OP scents had the right oomph, so I’m wearing Kiehl’s Musk lotion and Absolue Pour le Soir (which I’ve consistently liked, but today, is making me swoon). Too much oomph, perhaps. I’m hiding until this calms down a bit.
You smell great!
No Chanel at the moment-how weird is that, after wearing #5 continously for years…now wearing the end of my Noontide Petals decant.I will get some Tauer bottle here soon, just which one?
I love that Tauer offers sets of three 15 ml bottles, although even choosing three is difficult! So far I have two sets, including all 4 of his roses (not counting Rose Flash which must be purchased separately), Carillon Pour Un Ange, and L’Air du Desert Marocain. Love them all, although it took me a while to appreciate the weird murky greenness of Carillon! And the bottles are so cute and portable.
A set of several! Thanks for the suggestion…..trotting off to look at the website…
Today I’m in Chanel 19 vintage parfum. A little dab’ll do ya (that stuff is potent). I have a tiny bottle that will probably last for years. Today I’m enjoying the dusty/aldehydey notes very much.
Has anyone tried Amouage Sunshine? I just got a sample from stc, wore it yesterday. It’s is breathtaking. And way beyond my means. Sigh.
I wish the current No. 19 parfum were as potent. It smells beautiful but only lasts a few hours on me.
I got my little bottle on eBay a couple of years ago for about $40, so eBay is an option, but also a gamble. If the vintage is in good shape then it’s a total win. Generally I’ve had good luck with vintages from eBay. I check the seller’s rating and read any info they have about how they have stored the perfume, where they got it, etc.
Thanks, I may try ebay.
I recently picked up some vintage extrait of No. 19 on eBay, and it is a powerhouse.
I have not tried Sunshine on skin. On paper blotter, I did not like the opening. I kept the blotter anyway along with the 1-page handout for it. The SA also promised to mail me a manufacturer’s sample when they’re back in stock (methinks I should not hold my breath). Anyway, I had forgotten that I left the paper blotter in my purse but a day later, I kept smelling this wonderful fragrance that was a more flowery version of TF Tobacco Vanille and it turned out to be Sunshine! Let’s see how I do with a real sample once I get it.
P.S. It’s a week later and I am stiff huffing the paper and the paper blotter like an addict. Le sigh.
Yes! The blond tobacco note plus a dream of a magnolia note (reminded me of the dinner-plate sized magnolias I saw in North Carolina, my friend picked one from the bush and put it in a water glass beside the head of my bed). But I know what you mean about the opening. It’s like being smothered in apricot compote till it calms down and does it’s Amouage blending magic with the other notes. I’m so bummed that it costs over $400 for a bottle.
There’s always the next Splitmeet (or sooner) 😉
Now that’s just plain wicked of you! 🙂
I’ll probably be getting rid of my 5ml decant. I am not digging it.
Hi mals86,
If you would like to trade it for something let me know!
orange_vermilion@msn.com
Not even a Polge, but I am wearing Chanel No. 22 and Repetto shoes. I’m also testing La Fille de Berlin.
You smell wonderful, and have cute shoes. Both La Fille de Berlin and Chanel No. 22 are great. Win! 😀
SOTM is my only OP, Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her, an easy pretty lavender. I did have a sample of Balenciaga Paris, but I must have used it up and it seemed a bit wan to me anyway (I guess I like my violets with more bite, like TF Violet Blonde or Guerlain Insolence EDP).
Scent twins!
Though it seems as though OP is only responsible for BBR for Him, which I didn’t know when I made my choice this morning.
Lacking any OP, I went with Polge Pere and Chanel Cristalle EDP. I think it will blend well with the tulips I expect to have on my desk later today.
I pulled out my sample of Cuir Beluga which is very nice and kind of plush.
I did the same – I wear my Chanels so often that I thought I’d dig out something different. I like it, but it seems somehow faint on me.
Me too.
Not a Polge in sight and nothing nearby so I am wearing a sample of Etat Noel au Balcon, high is lovely and sexy and spicy. No points for me today but I smell good!
I hereby grant you bonus points for smelling good!
Wearing Misia today, like many others! The first time I wore it I thought it was too simple. Now I understand it’s *deceptively* simple: there’s a lot going on and it unfolds slowly, revealing all its nuances over time. There’s something clear about it, like glass, or maybe the clarity of a ringing bell.
SOTD = Guerlain Cuir Beluga
I decided at the last minute to WFH and I always have to be sensitive to other family members. I love this and it is virtually undetectable by loved ones so it is PERFECT!
Oh, I’m so glad you’re wearing Guerlain + Polge. It must have been a match made in heaven. Hope you enjoy your covertly-scented WFH.
I like that – Covert! That’s exactly what it is!
Only have on OP, so it’s Florabotanica for me today. I don’t own any Chanel, either new or old. I always forget about Florabotanica, even though I like it, and it is a floral green, one of my favorite types of scent for this time of year.
I’m wearing Oriental Express, which might get half credit–I think Olivier Polge may have collaborated with someone else on this one?
I’m a total Chanel fangirl, but it was rainy and blustery this morning and I wanted liquid sunshine…so I went with Lys 41. Maybe I’ll get in theme after my workout!
TGIF!
SOTD is Balenciaga L’Essence.
I really liked L’Essence, even though it didn’t get a lot of love. I think it’s discontinued – no one seems to sell it anymore – so I hope I come across a discount bottle at some point.
SOTD is Misia (Thanks again galbanumgal!). The huge amount of ionone used to produce the violet note reads vinyl on my skin. Anyone else have that experience? I like it, but will maybe like it more in warmer weather.
Just a couple of scents I wore this week (I always read NST, but post less frequently).
Keora Jean Couturier – a less complex and NOT animalic cousin to Bal a Versailles.
Eclix La Perla – musk and powder and cocoa and pleasantry.
Any thoughts on these? (Nice review of Eclix, Robin.)
I realize this isn’t the place for it, but how do I get my avatar back? I only changed my email address!!! WordPress………………………… I will remain calm.
Deep breaths…I believe all you have to do is go back to WordPress and choose the avatar icon again. You may have to select it again from your computer if WP thinks it is a new account. Good luck.
Thanks for your response, but nothing happens when I click on the avatar/gravatar.
The avatar is based on your email address, so go back to gravatar.com and update your address there…
Thanks Robin!!!
Thanks hajusuuri!!!
Did you just go for a sample, or spring for a FB? Usually do well with Chanel, but so far this one’s nothing but potent violet. Will have to see how it does under diff weather conditions!
Anne from Seattle Nordstrom sent two spray vials. This is my fourth time testing it. It is just vinyl/violet on my skin.
Glad I didn’t buy a bottle, but next time I want a Chanel Anne will get my business.
Oooo, Anne at the Seattle Nordstrom is a lovely person and amazing SA. 😀
She is helping me get my skin ready for my wedding in June, she really knows her stuff!
Bear – I didn’t get as much plastic as I would get in something like AG Violette, but it was getting to the synthetic mode. It singed much more strongly of a florescent purple kind of nearly apple smell. Too bad – I found the drydown to be rather pleasant.
AnnS, it immediately reminded me of Ma Dame Jean Paul Gaultier – the difference being Ma Dame wanted the whimsy/gimmick of vinyl, I don’t think that was OP’s intent.
But push comes to shove, I like it – hope it works better in warmer weather.
I’m just going to put it behind me with the rest of some LE’s that I thought were good but really not FBW, and save my pennies for the next release. I seem to be sensitive to violets anyway. They almost always go to plastic, even the nice ones that I really wanted to like. I don’t have any major violet fragrances, so it could just be my nose. BTW – thank for the tip on an SA at Nordies. I’ve needed a new SA for a while….
😀
I know i just rooted Anne’s horn above, but she really is wonderful 🙂
Obviously, I meant tooted! Ha
Yay! I’m awake enough on a Friday to remember today’s theme. I’m wearing my first ever spritz from a sample of Balenciaga Paris. I like it so far, and that’s great for me since patchouli is very rarely my friend.
I’m no patchouli fan either, but it doesn’t bother me in BP.
Happily, I’m finding nothing to object to in BP. It’s lovely, with just a tiny little hiss of patchouli so far.
It must be a super cleaned up patchouli, scrubbed and whittled into submission, because I’m not a fan, and this doesn’t ping my patch meter 😀 Balenciaga Paris is a pretty green/violet cloud for me. Hope you enjoy it today. Be well.
I must be smelling this one like you do. “Violet cloud” is right on the nose for me.
BP feels like a “vanity table” perfume — a whoosh of hair lacquer, then a touch of lipstick, with a bit of face powder. It’s elegant without being austere, classy without being intimidating.
I think . . . I like it. It’s a nice surprise. Most definitely enjoying it much, much more than the fruity La vie est belle.
I re-spritzed this afternoon. Whoa, stronger opening than I remembered, but I still think it is interesting in a good way. I liked the dry down best, though. At last, a chypre I can wear comfortably.
Well, I kept it in the Chanel/Polge family! Today’s sotd is Egoiste (original). Strong stuff but when it dries down, it’s lovely.
Polge and Christophe Herault are credited for OE, same for my SOTD: Chyprissime.
Oups! That was supposed to be a reply to Janice
I’m wearing Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her, though I almost went with Balenciaga Paris. Only, now I just saw that BBR for her was the work of others, and that OP did BBR for Him. Oops. At least I like how I smell…..
I am in Flowerbomb today.
SOTD is Balenciaga Paris, like many others. I was just about to purchase a FB of this (was waiting to get a bit more Optimum points), but then I got the so cute 20 ml purse spray during the latest swap meet (thanks sunmisun)! I love it!
Digging through my samples, I discovered that I hadn’t tried Jimmy Choo and I suspect that this is the only time this will be on my skin
My condolences. I’ve been through that too..
^ Ha! Yes. Condolences are in order.
STRONGS!!lol
I like the hyper ironic tacky bottle, but having sampled it once in a department store…. I admire the pink bling from a distance.
My second try with Misia, and I underapplied today, which seems to be working better for me. I see what Bear means about the ionone giving the composition a vinyl note. Let’s see how it develops….
Hello farouche!! Glad to see someone else smells the vinyl. Of all the reviews I read no one mentioned it. Misia is very odd…….I like the intrigue. Cheers!!
Yes, isn’t it interesting how we each perceive fragrances so differently? I am especially averse to vinyl or metallic notes in scents, yet I smell no vinyl in this. Perhaps it is more skin chemistry than nose???
Hello Laila! Yes, BOTH skin chemistry and nose. The varying opinions make perfumery interesting to me.
Hi Bear! The vinyl note was faint, and it didn’t last, but it was definitely there. I wouldn’t have been able to identify it, though, if you hadn’t mentioned it.
🙂
Totally forgot. I had lots of options though… I blame all the scifi talk yesterday for my eyes glazing over and mind blanking it all out 😉
Ive been seeing what, if any, id sell so i wore a bit of Lalique Le Parfum. Its not toe-curlingly good but it is pleasant.. not sure..
tonight in Amaranthine just because I love it.
I love your reason for wearing Amaranthine!!!Why else would we wear our beloveds! You smell amazing AM and PM!!
I’m in my hubby’s Dior Homme, and got busted while applying. This led to a funny conversation between us this morning, after which I was almost expecting men to be falling at my feet while I was out shopping later. It didn’t happen unfortunately. ☺️
And he’s rocking Spicebomb, So we’re a double act today. Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate.
🙂
I love Dior Homme, but have unfortunatley not experienced the falling men phenomenon either.
Lol.I DID wonder what the TNG stood for…like I still do not know what BPAL is!!lol. No love today for dear old sexy Olivier…SOTD Shalimar Parfum Initial.I guess the perfumer is Thierry Wasser?THIS is how a flanker should be done.NO idea why they would decide to discontinue it.I keep forgetting how fantastic the powdery Iris note is in this.LOVELOVE.Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
I just used the last of my sample of Shalimar Parfum Initial L’eau yesterday. I liked it, and read that Parfum Initial had more of an iris note, which sounds ideal to me. You must smell amazing.
I think I do!Yes!lol!Thank you!L’Eau is softer,but really gorgeous as well.
BPAL:
http://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/
Lol!A-ha!Thanks Robin!
This is totally off the topic of perfume, but did anyone see the segment of “Shark Tank” with the “I want to draw a cat for you!” guy? I thought it was pure genius. Now whenever there’s something annoying, heavy or just plain ridiculous going on, either my husband or I will break into the “I want to draw a cat for you” song and dance.
Thanks for the tip – this is great!
For some reason I wasn’t in the right mood (mode?) for Balenciaga Paris this AM… It turned out to be a Baiser Vole kinda morning….
Wearing Dior Homme today and am guessing it might be the masterful original incarnation because I get lots of iris and it has that beautiful lipstick vibe. It seems most similar to Habit Rouge to my nose and I don’t get any cocoa and the vanilla is the bean kind not the cupcake kind.
I wanted to wear 31 Rue Cambon, but I was not in the mood for it. So I’ m wearing No. 5.
The Moon is beautiful. Enjoy it, y’all!
No Polge for me, or Chanel. I meant to stop in Sephora to get a Rosabotanica sample, but never made it over there. Oh well, just some Demeter Ginger Ale for today. Love it.
And Robin, I’ll have you know you are responsible for me staying up late last night watching old TNG with my husband after explaining we were talking about it on perfume blogs! We watched a Season 1 episode, and it was pretty bad (Heart of Glory, mostly about Worf). Riker looks so young without his beard.
Appreciating Worf’s motivations requires extended exposure, I think.
We were all as young as Riker once. LOL!
LOL — should I apologize, or are you thanking me???
Like many above I put on Balenciaga Paris which also just seems perfect for the cool damp early spring day we are having. I do like this very much, but I’m not sure its FBW. I think I’d rather have the bath gel and body cream. Cheers!
Wearing TDC’s Tokyo Bloom which has really grown on me – and it has great lasting power.
On another shameful note, I had my first blind buy ever as a newbie — I found a 1.7 oz LaP’s Jatamansi new for $50 at a hefty discount. It seems lovely and innocuous enough that I shouldn’t regret it. Plus, I’ve never blind bought before, and the dark side was calling me! Anybody tried this scent???
!!! I have been trying to convince people for ages that Tokyo Bloom is worth a try. Glad to see someone who likes it.
If you’re not wrinkling your nose and thinking of where you can get rid of it, I think it’s a successful blind buy. Congrats!
I don’t have anything by Olivier Polge, so I’m wearing 31 Rue Cambon with great satisfaction. Definitely some serious buying decisions ahead when this sample vial is done!
Scent twins!
Joining the crowd wearing Paris, my only Polge Jr., but so excited about BWF Friday next week! I have soooo many it will be hard to pick.
I’m wearing my only Polge scent (after I read through the list), Balenciaga Paris, which seems to be the hit today at NST. It’s lovely. It is my perfume to wear when I want something very subtle, but radiant. I think the only other thing in my collection that wears like this is Prada’s L’Eau Ambrée. Not sillage monsters, but quiet hums through the day.
Another thought–I wonder if the perfumers ever read our Fridays devoted to their work? It has to be a strange Valentine out of season to have people deliberately as a group walking around in one’s creations. I hope it’s a joy to them, and a laugh. We all have such strong ideas about what we love, and we certainly love perfume. Long may Polge (and the other noses) create. . .and down with the (expletives deleted) IFRA regulations that hamper their genius! Be well.
How funny – I thought the exact same thing today!!!!
Don’t be sorry about using the term “TNG”. I thought if it was The New Guy it was kind of a cute term. The Next Generation Star Trek is definitely cool!
I woke up craving Rochas Tocade, so I put some of this beauty on.
I have been wearing Chanels most of the week though
No points for me. I HAD to wear Diptyque Essences Insensees:-) It is green, creamy mimosa heaven, and I could wear it every day March through August. [Insert contented sigh here.]
I was a big Star Trek: TNG fan. “Who Watches the Watchers” is one of my favorite episodes.
I am sitting in my car in the driveway with the window down. A tree frog is serenading me from across the street and the scent of the neighbor’s mock orange is lovely. [Insert second contented sigh here.]
Essences Insensées is lovely. If it had an option besides that bulb atomizer, I would have snapped it up, FB. Mimosa is a great note. Your comment is wonderful, and just reading it was relaxing. Thank you for the images, Kindcrow! I know you are thoroughly enjoying your day. Be well.
Spring is my favorite season 🙂
I am also wearing Balenciaga Paris today, from a mini that should last me for a while. It’s not one of my true loves, but definitely suited to a warm, rainy early spring day.
I also thought (hoped?) TNG = The New Guy!
Planned to wear Midnight in Paris, but ended up in Ecens Mythique, needing the warmth.
Whoops, I forgot and wore Jolie Madame. 🙁 I wore Balenciaga Paris yesterday, promise.
Well, you smell wonderful, anyway. I think I need a bottle of JM.
I had planned to wear Balenciaga Paris, but L’Heure Bleue jumped into my hand this morning instead, and it was exactly the right choice.
The only thing by Polge the Younger that I have is Dior Homme, so that is what I’m wearing today.
SOTD is Chanel 31 Rue Cambon, which might be a sort of beginner’s chypre, lovely and easy to wear. I forgot I had a sample of Dior Homme, but might have gone with 31RC anyway.
Apparently I’m a huge nerd, because despite it taking me something like a year of reading perfume blogs to really get a handle on all the abbreviations, it never occurred to me that anyone would be confused by TNG.
