Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Teazzurra ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 February 2015 11 Comments

Guerlain Teazzura

Guerlain has launched Teazzurra, the latest addition to the Aqua Allegoria collection. Flora Rosa (2013) has also been re-released this year.

Teazzurra was developed by perfumer Thierry Wasser. The notes for the aromatic citrus floral include bergamot, yuzu, lemon, grapefruit, chamomile, green tea, jasmine, musk and vanilla.

Guerlain Teazzurra is currently a travel retail exclusive, and is available in 100 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

Update: Teazzurra is sold in 75 and 125 ml. The description from Guerlain: "Revive yourself with a green tea as the azure waters lap gently in the breeze. A moment of contemplation as you savour an energising and thirst-quenching elixir. Teazzurra is a relaxing and refreshing essence. Its pure and refined bottle with a golden mesh celebrates the iconic Bee bottle."

The color of the juice is scary, but Thierry Wasser won me with Rose Nacrée, Lys Soleia and the decent reformulations of Guerlain classics. And these notes sound great for an acqua allegoria! Since I can’t wear Pamplelune even though I love it in theory, I’m looking forward to trying this.

But heck, the color looks like the latest Justin Bieber scent!

If the name is a fanciful take on “blue tea”, I’m wondering where the blue comes in. In olfactory terms, I mean.

Blue chamomile? I sure hope there is nothing cucumbery in it, as the color sort of implies!

Some sources are saying it’s an aquatic, some aren’t. The notes I’ve seen vary quite a bit too. Nearly all the AAs are watery lately, and heavy on white musk, so guessing this will follow suit.

Looks like they spritz their AA bottles with water before taking a pic..either that or it’s been in a sauna:). Seems nice enough. That color is a bit too blue for me. I think of cleaner rather than perfume.

I wonder why Flora Rosa was re-released this year instead of a new scent. Was it such a best seller? I probably smelled it, but don’t have any recollection of it… Would have expected Lys Soleia to have a comeback instead, that one is amazing!

Speaking of re-releases, is there any news of Meteorites making a comeback?

Sorry, no idea (on either issue).

This is available right now at Nordstroms (just came in), and I’m wearing it right now. It’s light like the others. Very sweet! It’s definitely a tea scent, with lots of sugar and lemon. Being a tea drinker myself; I kind of want a bottle, but I think I might get tired of it quickly.
