You know that fantastic monologue in “The Devil Wears Prada”, where Meryl Streep tells a smirking onlooker how the ideas in fashion filter down from the hands of artists to “some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin”? This candle is the perfume version of that monologue.

I had to remind myself that Jovan did their first Oud in 2012. It’s a long slow process :-)

On a visit to Yankee Candle several years back, I came across “unwashed Linen”. My subconscious did not register the “eewww gross” until a minute later and I just had to smell this “unwashed Linen”. I was so relieved that the scent turned out to be “Sunwashed Linen” and I just missed the S due to the angle of the display!

LOL if I came across a candle and thought it said “unwashed linen”, a) I’d definitely want to smell it, and b) I kinda think my reaction to finding out it was actually “sunwashed” might be disappointment rather than relief.
