Lanvin Marry Me Confettis ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 December 2014 14 Comments

Lanvin Marry Me! Confettis

Lanvin will launch Marry Me! Confettis in January. The new fragrance for women is a limited edition flanker to 2010′s Marry Me! For Women and a follow-up to 2012's Marry Me! Love Edition, 2013's Marry Me à la Folie and 2014's Marry Me! Love Balloons.

Marry Me! Confettis was developed by perfumers Shyamala Maisondieu and Antoine Maisondieu. Notes for the fruity floral musk feature red fruits, peach, jasmine, blond woods and musk.

Lanvin Marry Me! Confettis will be available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Is there any state or country in which a person may marry a clump of confetti?

There ought to be, why should confetti be left out! But it is Marry Me! Confettis and not Marry Me Confettis! so I think the punctuation placement is key 🙂

Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I saw it and how awkward I would feel telling an inquiring mind- “I am wearing Lanvin, Marry Me Confetti”

Isn’t confetti plural already? I guess one piece would be a confetto or something.

In English it is, but in French confettis is the plural form. The word derives from the Italian. No idea what would have been proper here, and in all truth, hey, the fragrance is already called “Marry Me!” and there is a flanker called “Love Balloons”.

“Love Balloons” sounds like some guy’s obnoxious euphemism for body parts. Bleah.

It’s pretty bad. That said, might sound glorious to French ears, what do I know.

          Ha!

When I see “Love Balloons,” I think “Luftballons,” like the awesome song from the 80s.

I would not have predicted a scent called “Marry Me!” would sell. Again, what do I know.

Do these sell? I have not seen a Lanvin scent, in a department store for years.

Depends on where you live. Their US distribution is spotty at best.

    Marry me! Again!
    What!? Why another one?
Well, you see, I thought I finally found the one that would work out but it was just the same as my previous 10+ marriages, if not more predictable! They are all the same!! Ugh. Hopefully this one will be different. (I think we all know too well how this story will end…)
