Anja Rubik Original ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 24 November 2014 9 Comments

Anja Rubik Original

Model Anja Rubik has launched Original, her debut fragrance.

More than a fragrance, it's the whole style and attitude of model Anja Rubik that the perfume Original captures… The scent of freedom, both sensual and feminine with notes of wood, amber, floral, green tea and pink pepper… A subtle and personal fragrance that changes on the skin, making it unique, original as you…

Additional notes include lily.

Anja Rubik Original is available now at Colette in France, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

(via colette.fr)

Update: Anja Rubik Original was developed by perfumer Patricia Choux.

Is this a thing now? Because even in the eighties and nineties, when there were models who were actual household names (Cindy, Naomi, Linda, Christy, Nadja….), you didn’t see them getting their own fragrances. And I’ve never even heard of this one!

And then the SECOND I hit the “Post” button I remembered that Naomi Campbell did in fact have a fragrance, in 1999, it turns out, and then of course spun that into a whole pile of flankers.

Naomi Campbell has a ton of them. Cindy Crawford had at least 2 fragrances under her name. I am brain dead today, I promise there are others that aren’t coming to mind right now…

Niki Taylor had one too. Admittedly I think Naomi was the first, and that might have been the cusp of the 00’s if not earlier.

In her industry, she’s a pretty big deal and has quite a few big name jobs (and covers) under her belt. How that translates into her own perfume is anyone’s guess. Could be awful, could be decent. Seeing as it’s only at Colette, most of us are likely to never know. Oh well….next.
