Weil Greedy Essence ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 10 November 2014 4 Comments

Weil Greedy Essence

Weil has launched Greedy Essence, a new fragrance for women. Greedy Essence follows 2013's Emotion Essence.

Greedy is a sweet and bewitching oriental floral... The bright top note of apple, mandarin and jasmine blends with the greedy heart notes unmistakably sensual. The "velvety peach" touch then punctuates a gentle and slightly sweet floral heart which promotes emotion.

Addictive notes of Oud and patchouli will accentuate the intense scent that has already gain possession of our senses... Greedy blossomed voluptuously while greedy notes of Tonka bean, musk and vanilla emphasize its irresistible greediness.

Additional notes include rose, muguet and sandalwood.

Weil Greedy Essence is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

    Yeah, but is it greedy?

And please, please, please no more oud, even when it lurks in the base notes.

It is odd to me that so many online translators give “greedy” as the 1st translation for “gourmand”, and that so many fragrance companies fail to find out the different connotations of “greedy” in English. They’d have been much better off with “Gourmand Essence”…

That explains it. Greedy is not an appealing concept for me. I expect that is not what they meant!
