Viktoria Minya Hedonist Iris, Hedonist Rose and Eau de Hongrie ~ new perfumes

Posted by Robin on 7 November 2014 12 Comments

Viktoria Minya Hedonist trio

Indie perfumer Viktoria Minya has launched three new fragrances. Hedonist Iris and Hedonist Rose are follow-ups to her debut launch, Hedonist. Eau de Hongrie is a new variation on the traditional Hungary Water.

Hedonist Iris (above center) ~ "A romantic perfume for a graceful woman who cares for sensual luxury. The essence of this pure fragrance is the most expensive natural raw material of all - Iris butter. Its cool elegance is laced with tantalizing notes of cocoa and blackcurrant absolute and crowned by a fine blend of musks." €155 for 45 ml Eau de Parfum.

Hedonist Rose (above right) ~ "An audacious perfume for a woman who recognizes the strength and allure of her own femininity, dominated by the most noble natural raw material - Rose oil. The voluptuous body of this sensual elixir is tempered with the aroma of white wine and light ambery notes." €155 for 45 ml Eau de Parfum.

Eau de Hongrie (not shown) ~ "This modern version of ’Eau de la Reine de Hongrie’ is inspired by the most noble of Hungarian dessert wines, the world famous Tokaji Essence. Delicate notes of honey and jasmine are crowned by smooth sandalwood to create a rich, enchanting fragrance." €120 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Hedonist Rose and Hedonist Iris are very beautiful. The rose one smells better on my skin. I got a chance to try them as Viktoria gave me samples when we met at Pitti Fragranze. She didn’t mention a word about Eau de Hongrie however.

She doesn’t seem to be promoting the Hongrie as much…

Hedonistic Iris sounds very tempting. Iris fragrances don’t smell good on me. If the usage of words had a scent to it, this would be absolutely amazing. The description alone makes me want to try it.

Sorry for the misspelled word- cell phone does an automatic correction. It drives me nuts.

It sounds sort of like Iris Ganache…

I had that same thought when I read the notes for the iris one and got very excited. Here’s hoping it is close enough to replace the still bafflingly discontinued IG! I almost cry every time I spray some of that precious nectar from my lonely bottle.

All of these sound really nice. When I read the titles, I immediately thought “yep, iris for me”, but now…. I definitely think I need to try all of them.

And just when I was convinced I needed to get a bottle of the original Hedonist, which I love. All three of these sound gorgeous! Off to go see if Viktoria Minya offers a sample set and hope I don’t fall in love with these, too.

I just had a peek at her site and you can order samples of the new ones. You can get all 4 samples for 15 Euro.
