Fresh Honeysuckle ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 3 October 2014 11 Comments

Fresh Honeysuckle

Fresh will launch Fresh Honeysuckle later this month on QVC. The brand's last launch was 2013's Fresh Life.

Fresh Honeysuckle Eau de Parfum is a luscious floral scent inspired by an enchanting evening that Fresh founders Lev and Alina spent in the medieval town of Penne d'Agenais in France. While strolling down its narrow streets, the intoxicating scent of honeysuckle stopped them in their tracks. This fragrance captures that moment with top notes of dreamy ylang-ylang, black currant, and golden peach, anchored by blue cyclamen, dark plum, and sunny musk. At its heart is French honeysuckle, surrounded by jasmine sambac and transparent magnolia.

Fresh Honeysuckle can be pre-ordered now at QVC, $88 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Will it also be in Fresh shops so I can smell it in person? Love honeysuckle in real life

I think it’s exclusive to QVC but I don’t know for how long, sorry. Might be worth calling the store…

Goodness me, this seems to be a bit of a downmarket move for them. Might try to pop into their London shop when I’m there in December to see how things are going there. Years ago, & before they opened their London premises, they were very exclusively stocked here in the UK – & now QVC?!

Yes, and they used to have a counter at Neiman Marcus here and that’s been gone for some years now. There is so much competition now in niche, I don’t think they’ve held their ground very well.

Then again, bear in mind that Penhaligon’s & L’Artisan are on QVC too…QVC has quite a mix of brands now.

I was obviously not in the US & in an NM shop at the right time, Robin! Mind you, back in the day when Annick Goutal was launched in the US, & it was much less expensive than here in the UK, I was making twice yearly trips across the pond & used to stock up with my beloved Eau de Camille – especially when NM & other high end department stores were offering a half-price refill with any full price purchase – those were indeed the days! I had no idea Penhaligon’s & l’Artisan were on QVC – it’s not a site I ever look at, in fact I have no idea if it has a presence here. l’Artisan closed its stand-alone shops here some years ago so perhaps the QVC venture is just to try to reach more people. Just over 2 weeks till I’m in Seattle, so looking forward to seeing some different offerings in the likes of Barneys New York & of course probably my favourite US department store, Nordstrom!

Yes, there is a UK QVC!

I adore Nordstrom, but for whatever reason, don’t think their perfume department is as interesting as it used to be. Other department stores have done a better job of diversifying into niche, I think, especially Neiman Marcus & Saks.

Apologies, Robin, meant to hit ‘reply’ as opposed to ‘post’ in my message above! Thank you for the info – NM & Saks duly noted, will try to get to both in Seattle – it’s many years since I was last in Nordstrom, & I must admit I was disappointed with the NM perfume department (or perhaps just the staff!) when I was in their Houston Galleria branch in May.

The NM stores vary, but they are not generally as nice as Nordstrom, it’s true! And, of course, Nordstrom will make samples of anything which is another big plus.

          Anyway, have a great trip.

If it lasts longer than the Demeter, I’m in!

Still looking for a scent that captures those few weeks when honeysuckle is in bloom in the SE US.
