Régime des Fleurs Freeworld, Fauna and Floralia

Niche line Régime des Fleurs will launch Collection 2, with three new fragrances, Freeworld, Fauna and Floralia. Their first collection of six fragrances (Water/Wood, Nitesurf, Turquoise, Bel Époq, Dove Grey and Nymphaea Caerulea) debuted earlier this year.

Freeworld ~ "An American Oriental. The sparkling fizz of freedom / under an imperial sky / as gleaming skyscrapers reflect fast cars / A new classic." With notes of geranium, citrus, neroli, nutmeg, coriander, sandalwood, vanilla, and aldehydes. In 33 ml Eau de Parfum, $155.

Fauna ~ "An enchanted oudh. The noble and majestic Victorian-era animal portraits of Sir Edwin Henry Landseer. 19th Century historian Franz Xaver von Schönwerth's collection of lost Bavarian legends and fairy tales. Midnight, animated by the glassy eyes of nocturnal creatures and the alien sheerness radiating from cereus." With agarwood, saffron, coffee blossom, sumac, grains, nuts, petitgrain, castoreum, nightblooms and albino musk. In 55 ml Eau de Parfum, $285.

Floralia ~ A neoclassical celebration of iris and tuberose. A statue of the goddess Flora has stood frozen for centuries, swathed in flowering vines, hidden in the shadows of an overgrown forest. Finally, a true spring has come once again, bringing its rapturous sunlight which warms new blooms of tuberose, iris, jasmines, elderflowers, linden and mimosa. Flora comes alive. Named for the legendary festival dedicated to the goddess Flora in Ancient Rome, the new Epic, Floralia, is a celebratory dance between the chalk-pale elegance of iris and the lush green complexity of tuberose. Supported by three varieties of low-temperature extracted jasmine, rare gardenia absolute, and genuine extractions of seven fine teas including jasmine tea, Floralia is refined in its opulence and exquisite in its restraint - a stylized 18th century reimagining of the bawdiness of this plebeian holiday (famously a favorite among women working in the oldest profession)..." Additional notes include angelica seed, lilac, cucumber blossom water, Casablanca lily, bay laurel, freesia, narcissus, magnolia, muguet, iris flower accord, orange blossom, vetiver, black tea, white tea, jasmine tea, rooibos, mate, cedarmoss, castoreum and musk. In 9 ml Extrait de Parfum, $395.

Régime des Fleurs Freeworld, Fauna and Floralia will be available in October; they can be pre-ordered now at the Régime des Fleurs website.

Floralia features tuberose, jasmine, gardenia, Casablanca lily, narcissus, orange blossom, and castoreum. Doesn’t sound “exquisite in its restraint” to me 🙂

But it is.. Smelled it, divine. ‘Exquisite restraint’ like a reined in thoroughbred. It’s totally unique and new but with a vintage un-sweetness to it.
