Natori Josie ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 27 June 2014 2 Comments

Natori lingerie

Lingerie house Natori will launch Josie,* a new fragrance named for designer Josie Natori, and the brand's Josie lifestyle collection. It is Natori's first fragrance under new licensing arrangements with Luxe Brands; the prior Natori fragrance with Parlux, Natori Eau de Parfum, has been discontinued.

"I wanted to create a fragrance for JOSIE that exudes charisma. I am thrilled with the scent – it truly captures the essence of the brand. Today's woman knows that there is value in expressing her true self and the JOSIE fragrance, a beautiful sensual scent, gives her one more way to express her irrepressible individual style." -- Josie Natori

Josie was developed by perfumers Frank Voelkl and Honorine Blanc. Notes include Asian pear, bergamot, dewy leaves, sampaguita, freesia, wild orchid, sandalwood, white musk and patchouli.

Natori Josie will debut in July, and will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in a rollerball. Matching body products will also be sold. I will update with an image of the bottle when I can.

* Josie is not related to an earlier Avon + Natori fragrance of the same name.

So sad about the most recent Natori being discontinued. At least it’s still readily available online so I can stock up. This sounds awfully green to me but I’ll try to keep an open mind about it… Even if it would probably not come near to replacing my beloved Natori of a few years ago.

It is sad, and from the sound of it, this one is geared younger, which is also sad. Ah well. The old Natori is currently marked down on the Natori website, but no idea if it’s the best price out there.
