Le Labo has launched Geranium 30, a new limited edition fragrance for the Opening Ceremony retail chain. The fragrance bottle features decorations by Thierry Boutemy.
Celebrated for his dramatic and daring floral arrangements, Thierry Boutemy has left his print on everything from film to fashion, creating works for OC favorites like Sofia Coppola and Dries Van Noten. Now, the legendary artist's green thumb has taken a transformative step by partnering with Opening Ceremony. The collection is made into a full experience with this limited-edition fragrance, made with Le Labo and perfumer Barnabé Fillion. An explosive, sweet floral top note settles into a soft and powdery base, reminiscent of a garden late in the season. It is handmade in Le Labo's signature glass bottles, with custom-printed floral labels.
Le Labo Geranium 30 is $240 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found at Opening Ceremony.

Update: here is Le Labo's description...
Le Labo Fragrances decided to contribute to Opening Ceremony's partnership with Thierry Boutemy by creating a very limited edition fragrance (100 bottles only) for the event.
Geranium 30, developed with French perfumer Barnabé Fillion, is a haphazard-seeming but impossibly artful bouquet of flowers (geranium, jasmin...) which, in a way, is Boutemy's own floral installation style in a bottle.
"Impossibly artful" because of the dangerous balance between the flowers and the spices (baie rose, poivre long...) which brings to the one who wears Geranium 30 the permanent feeling of walking in a perfectly arranged mad, wild garden... Enjoy the wildness...
Of course I’d love to sniff this, so it’s limited distribution. Le Labo must have confidence issues for how hard it is to access nearly half of their line.
Hoping this will move into the regular line eventually — yeah, it’s annoying.
Hm, I got excited for a second and was hoping to read something about a green, fresh, leafy fragrance with maybe some spices or herbs to it, but i guess that wouldn’t sell all that well with the department store girls / women they’re trying to reach here. Price and availability don’t really excite either.
