Posted by Robin on 26 February 2014 8 Comments

Yves Saint Laurent Splendid Wood

Yves Saint Laurent will launch Splendid Wood, a new unisex fragrance, in March. Splendid Wood joins the Oriental Collection, which already includes Noble Leather, Supreme Bouquet and Majestic Rose.

Splendid Wood is a spicy woods scent developed by perfumers Marie Salamagne and Amandine Marie; notes include cardamom, incense, jasmine, cypriol, cedar and oud accord.

Yves Saint Laurent Splendid Wood will be available in 80 ml Eau de Parfum, £190.

My M7 is all I need on the oud front, thank you very much YSL. But who knows, this one might really be SPLENDID! Haha! ; )

M7 does it for me too. And I still haven’t smelled the first 3 from this collection.

I haven’t got a clue where or if they sell these in the US. Oh well. : )

And I’d love to compare my M7 to the one they introduced as part of the La Collection YSL. Again, no clue if I’ll ever find some to test. : /

Gosh this collection had totally passed me by – not that that says very much given the disparity between product released and product sniffed (chez moi). Pricey but I’m intrigued enough to look out for it.

I’ll smell them if I ever see them…

Smelt all 3 and not that impressed by them. The price tag is not justified imo. I rather go back to Armani’s Privé collection. I like them much more.

Could be really interesting 🙂 I like a fragrance with cardamom note 🙂
