Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 February 2014 4 Comments

Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense

Givenchy will launch Gentlemen Only Intense, an assertive but subtle new flanker to 2013's Gentlemen Only fragrance. Like Gentlemen Only, it will be fronted by Simon Baker. Other recent introductions from Givenchy include Very Irrésistible L'Eau en Rose.

Gentlemen Only Intense is a woody fragrance; the notes include green mandarin, black pepper, birch, patchouli, cedar, leather, tonka bean, amber and incense.

Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I kinda like the notes but not getting my hopes up, anything ‘intesnse’ has not impressed me thus far. I will look for it though.

They’re rarely all that intense, it’s true.

My experience with a Givenchy fragrance was quite memorable. In 1991 or 1992 I went to New York for a job interview. Just for fun I spent one night at the Carlyle Hotel. In those days Hubert de Givenchy kept an apartment at the Carlyle, and the hotel gave guests a small bottle of Givenchy as part of the bath amenities. I still remember going into my room and seeing the small bottle of Givenchy cologne in the bathroom. I can’t remember if it was Givenchy Gentleman (a different version in production then) or Monsieur de Givenchy. Both fragrances were distinctive. Now Givenchy Fragrances are owned by LVMH, a huge luxury firm, according to Wikipedia.
