Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2014, part 2

Posted by Robin on 26 January 2014 9 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special editions from Jean Paul Gaultier, Guerlain, Victoria's Secret, Hugo Boss and Escentric Molecules.

Jean Paul Gaultier collector bottles trio

From Jean Paul Gaultier, collector bottles of Le Mâle, Classique and Le Beau Mâle, featuring anchor keychains. Classique is in 100 ml; Le Mâle and Le Beau Mâle are in 125 ml. All at Nocibe in France.

Petit Guerlain, pink and blue

From Guerlain, Petit Guerlain, reformulated and in new packaging for 2014: "La Maison Guerlain returns to the world of young children, with a new version of Petit Guerlain to charm children and their parents. A light and delicate fragrance, created to be a poetic initiation into the art of perfumery." In 250 ml Eau de Toilette.

Guerlain Habit Rouge L'édition du cavalierGuerlain Habit Rouge L'Echappée du Cavalier

Also from Guerlain, Habit Rouge in L'édition du cavalier (at left, €86 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette) or the L'Echappée du Cavalier edition (at right, €98 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum); both at Guerlain.

vs-very-sexy

From Victoria's Secret, Very Sexy in a new red bottle — not sure if this packaging is limited edition or not, but it has just been introduced. At Victoria's Secret. In 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Victoria's Secret.

Hugo Man Music Edition

From Hugo Boss, Hugo Man in the Music Edition. In 100 ml Eau de Toilette; purchase includes a code to download free music. At Kalista Parfums in France.

Escentric 01 and Molecule 01 in black

From Escentric Molecules, Escentric 01 and Molecule 01 in limited edition black packaging. In 100 ml Eau de Parfum, available at First in Fragrance in Germany. I think these actually came out in late 2011 or early 2012, so very old news, but they're still on the market!

The Habit Rouge are nice! For the millionth time, wish the bottles weren’t 100 mls.

They are both nice presentations, & like what they’ve done w/ the Petit Guerlain packaging except too bad it’s been reformulated.

I have never tried Petit Guerlain before actually. What does it smell like actually?
Also one more question for these bee bottles, are they here to stay or just a limited time product?

Oh I found something about how it smells here: https://nstperfume.com/2005/07/19/fragrances-for-children-petit-guerlain-and-petit-ange/
Just in case someone out there is wondering too! But I am still curious about the bottles 😉

But bear in mind they’ve just reformulated it. Don’t know what it smells like now, but suspect it’s cleaner.

And so far as I know, that’s the new packaging, so not necessarily limited edition.

The “Petit Guerlain” looks quite interesting to me. Well, the bottle is pretty. Not sure what’s inside of it is worthy.
I love Victoria’s Secret and have worn “Very Sexy” before, but the bottle isn’t that much different from the original. I know the fragrance business is a competitive one, but VS has gone overboard. They have somewhat loss sight of quality and are more concerned about quantity.

VS literally amazes me. I don’t think any other brand can match their frequency of output.

IIRC, the bottle used to be a rectangular tower shape?

Yes, it was. I still have my bottle.

Never liked JPG bottles..the anchors didn’t help me like them more. The Guerlain bottles are nice though.
