Memo Italian Leather ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 October 2013 10 Comments

Memo Italian Leather

French niche line Memo has launched Italian Leather, the second fragrance in the Cuirs Nomades collection (the first was Irish Leather).

Italian Leather was developed by perfumer Aliénor Massenet; the notes feature tomato leaf, vanilla, iris, tolu balsam, benzoin and leather.

Memo Italian Leather is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Colette in Paris.

This line has a great display at Harvey Nichols in London. I like quite a few of this especially Quartier Latin and Granada.

Thanks! I wish they had better distribution (any distribution, really) in the US.

Yes, I’m dying to try more of this line. They’ve had “U.S. – coming soon” on their website for quite a while now.

Oh too bad, tomato leaf is one of my favorite notes! So nice and bitter green.

I like the smell of tomato leaf too even though I hate eating raw tomato!

There is nothing worse than eating raw tomato. I was forced to do it only once, never again!!!. Ya know, ‘you better finish you’re plate or else’…I was gagging/throwing up in my mouth a little bit as I was trying to swallow those darned things..that was with my nose plugged. Sorry to be gross, lol! I know, such a sad story. Tragic indeed.

Well, not everyone feels that way.

Tomato leaf was the part that grabbed my attention! (well, after leather of course)
And tomatoes and tomato leaves are quite a different smell..

It sounds great except for the tomato leaf… I am enjoying the Irish Leather.
