Niche line Byredo will launch 1996 Inez & Vinoodh, a new fragrance made in collaboration with Dutch photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and originally intended as a holiday gift for their friends. The scent was inspired by their photograph 'Kirsten 1996'.
Notes for the woody oriental include juniper berry, orris, violet, amber, leather, and patchouli.Â
Byredo 1996 Inez & Vinoodh will launch in September, in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

That pic creeps me out.
It’s eerie.
Me too, Omega.
Very creepy, agree. The child looks way too young for makeup, and if its not a child, it’s obvious they were trying to make her/him look like a child, which is worse.
Having said that, the notes sound good!
Me, too. Here’s the original full image:

Hm.
How old is Kristen? She looks like an eighteen month old, with mascara and lipstick.
The note sound nice.
I don’t know much about the image, sorry.
Ya, it’s just creepy, creepy.
Yes. Has that child beauty queen vibe about it!
To be gruesomely blunt, the first thing I thought of was a post-mortem Jon Benet Ramsay.
I cannot see a child beauty queen without thinking of Jon Benet Ramsey–they all seem so tragic to me!
It was exactly what I thought too!
I wish *I* had friends who made small-batch fragrances as holiday gifts! 🙂
Yah!
Poltergeist? The light…….the light!!!!
I want to try this!
Has anyone smelled Inflorescence? Any impressions to share?
There is something perverted and troubling about that pic, it put me off of even trying the fragrance. Utterly disgusting!
My first instinct was to ask what is all the fuss about, but now that I have looked at it-creepy. None of their previous fragrances lit the buy fuse for me anyway. La Tulipe was nice, but pricey. The rest seem too masculine, too fruity, strong in the wrong ways-simply not my sup of tea.
