Valentino will launch Valentina Oud Assoluto in September. Valentina Oud Assoluto is a flanker to 2012's Valentina Assoluto, which was a flanker to 2011′s Valentina. The new scent was inspired by the 'riches of the Orient'.
Valentina Oud Assoluto was developed by perfumer Olivier Cresp. The notes include orange blossom, cardamom, rose, leather, saffron, oud, vanilla and dry wood.
Valentino Valentina Oud Assoluto will be available in 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Love the new tag “you cant make this stuff up”!
I’m guessing this may never make its way to US shores… the oud flankers are so perplexing.
I am PRAYING that this turns into the flanker of a flanker of a flanker — Valentina Oud Assoluto Noir?
Has the Gap made an Oud fragrance yet?
Gap Grass Oud! Why not?
LOL Peter and Robin! 🙂
This is the worst example of what today’s perfume marketing does. Nothing at all about this launch even makes sense, there is no connection to the original Valentina or the pillar concept. Totally agree with you, you can’t make this stuff up. And Valentino pays people to do this!
And people, no doubt, will pay Valentino to take home a bottle, right? Inspired by “the wealth of the Middle East” would be more truthful.
Anyone who uses the phrase ‘inspired by the riches of the East’, even between quotation marks is just begging for your translation. Did someone miss the last 100 years of multi-cultural awareness! lol!
I kind of like the bottle a bit.
I think it looks like one of those weird fascinators seen from the top:)
