Up for grabs: Ineke Scent Library

Posted by Robin on 12 August 2013 100 Comments — Comments are closed

Ineke Scent Library

What is it: Ineke's new Scent Library, with generous samples of all five fragrances in their Floral Curiosities fragrance collection (Angel’s Trumpet, Briar Rose, Scarlet Larkspur, Poet’s Jasmine and Sweet William).

How do I get it: For a chance to win, leave a comment on the website telling me that you live in the US. Then tell me either a) your favorite Ineke fragrance or b) your favorite flower or c) something else you've been dying to post in a comment.

Be sure to use the “Post a comment” box; do not reply to another comment! All replies to comments will be deleted!

The contest will be open until noon or so on Friday, and I'll announce the winner next Monday.

The fine print: Don't enter the contest unless I have permission to use the email address in your reader account to contact you. If the email address in your reader account is incorrect, you might want to fix it. If you are the winner and you fail to send me your mailing details within a couple weeks, I’ll give your prize away to someone else. Sadly, it sometimes usually takes me a month to mail a package. Reasonable care will be taken in the packaging and mailing of your prize, but if the contents are lost or damaged or fail to please you for any reason whatsoever, I’m sorry but I cannot replace them.

I live in Texas and I’ve never tried an Ineke fragrance. My favorite flower for scent is silk tree blossom. My favorite flower period is tulip, but unfortunately it has no scent.

I live in the US and thanks for the contest! I’ve only tried Field Notes from Paris so far and liked it very much. My favorite flower would probably have to be orchids, though there hasn’t been an “orchid” perfume that really grabbed me yet. But I am optimistic and love to keep trying. :)

This looks amazing! I live in the U.S. (Washington). My favorite flower is freesia, but I’ve never found a great freesia fragrance (they all smell like air freshener). I’ve never tried any Ineke fragrances.

I live in the US (in Virginia) and have never tried this line. My favorite flower in fragrances is rose – boring I know but they smell so good. I’ve been particularly enjoying Gres Cabaret this summer – a purchase inspired by a review I read on this blog, so thank you!

I live in the US, and my favorite flower in perfumery is probably linden. Or maybe orange blossom. (I go back and forth.)

    Ooooh.

I live in the US and I’m promiscuous in my flower-love. I love the scent and flavour of rose and lavender, and visually my favorites are dandelions (I’d love to try a perfume that plays with this scent, and the greens can be tasty) and dogwood (well, dogwood and then most other flowering trees).

Thanks for the draw, Robin! I live in the USA and you can of course use my email to contact me. I like this series by Ineke, but my fave of her scents is Field Notes from Paris. My mom was a florist (many early scent memories), so I love lots of flowers, but chief among them lilacs–so short lived, but so lovely!

Great prize! I love hydrangeas, and I have a question regarding whether or not I should blindly buy Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers? It was $15 at a TJMAXX yesterday and I debated for about 10 mins whether or not to buy it. I LOVE Brooks Brothers actually clothing and I researched the scent and it is similar to Terre D’Hermes according to some. Anyone have any experience with Black Fleece?

I forgot to put I live in the US!

Hi Robin. I live in the US.
Not sure I have a favorite flower. . . hard to argue with a good, old-fashioned rose, but I’ve been loving the jasmine blooming this summer, so maybe I’ll say that–Jasmine! :)

  25. rosepotpie says:

    thanks for this wonderful opportunity!

  28. Dink says:

I live in the U.S. and I love many of Ineke’s fragrances. Evening Edged in Gold is one my favorites. I love many flowers and can’t pick one favorite. That would be like asking to pick a favorite child. Thanks!

I live in the U.S. and have never tried Ineke’s scents. I love so many flowers that I am quickly going to say iris and lilac before I change my mind. I especially love the look of iris and the way lilacs scent the air on a spring morning.

I live in the U.S. and I THINK the only Ineke scent I’ve tried is Field Notes from Paris. I’m not as organized as many with a perfume spreadsheet and the brain just isn’t what it used to be but I think that’s correct.

In the US, favorite flower is way too difficult. How about this: if flowers release such complex scents, why are soliflores considered simple?

  37. Thalia says:

I do indeed live in the U.S., and my favorite Ineke is Evening Edged in Gold.

  38. LaurieEyeBee says:

I live in the U.S. — a small town in Connecticut where we don’t get to smell anything too “off the grid,” much to my intense dismay. But my favorite flower just happens to be a yellow tulip. My favorite season is spring, and when I was a little girl growing up here my uncle had a beautiful garden full of tulips in the back yard. Yellow tulips make me feel very loved.

  45. gr8belief says:

Anything that combines a library image with fragrance is a good thing — in my book. Ha. I love their packaging. The samples of A, B, C & D came so beautifully packaged, I wouldn’t have minded if they didn’t smell nice. B and D were favs. Would love to try these and “shelve” them in my library of fragrance! I live in the US and you may use my email. And fav flower question? Easy: any one that smells nice and is easy to grow! <3

I went to Neimi’s this past week to try the TF Atelier d’Orient collection, but was unable to give them a test because the TF SA was carrying them around with her all over the store, and would not relinquish them.
