A Lab On Fire Rose Rebelle Respawn & Almost Transparent Blue ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 19 July 2013 9 Comments

A Lab On Fire Rose Rebelle Respawn & Almost Transparent Blue

A Lab On Fire has launched two new fragrances: Rose Rebelle Respawn and Almost Transparent Blue.

Rose Rebelle Respawn ~ "A lush red rose dipped in deep, dark chocolate. Rose Rebelle Respawn begins with a flurry of green – ivy and mint – and a dusting of cocoa powder, and the combination is a bit startling for just a moment until the rose begins to unfurl her silky petals and everything becomes smooth and delectable." Additional notes include carnation, musks and incense. Perfumer: Sophia Grojsman.

Almost Transparent Blue ~ "Almost Transparent Blue takes the classic elements of cologne and tweaks them to create a futuristic urban citrus, with hints of pavement and ink. The yuzu and lime in the opening are beautifully crystalline and sharply realistic, and the citrus stays crisp and sparkling as the scent evolves." Additional notes include thyme flower, aldehydes, hinoki, cedar and musk. Perfumer: Bruno Jovanovic.

A Lab On Fire Rose Rebelle Respawn and Almost Transparent Blue can be found now at Luckyscent, in 60 ml Eau de Toilette.

Ahhhhh! I need to try the rose one. Of course.

I take it that it’s a 3rd variation on 100% Love? Or the 4th, I think they reformulated that one under the same name before doing the original Rose Rebelle.

Sounds like it… with green notes… but I’m willing to try pretty much any variation on 100% Love!

Maybe the third interpretation’s the charm for my nose, but the chocolate note in 100% Love and the first Rose Rebelle didn’t work on my skin at all. I’d love a good rose and chocolate perfume that I can wear. Rose Praline was close though my skin seemed to emphasize the tea notes, and Montale’s Intense Café comes close though that one’s more coffee and vanilla than chocolate. But I’m willing to give this a try.

Almost Transparent Blue sounds great, though. The darker inky notes seem like they’d be perfect for upcoming crisp fall mornings while the citrus would be lovely for the warmer afternoons. Must get a sample!

Must try the RRR! Carnation + chocolate + mint sounds interesting in a good way.

IIRC, there was no mint in 100% Love…could be fun!

I’d try anything Grojsman is involved in. I love pretty much everyone of her big scents.

I just love the reference to the Ryu Murakami book “almost transparent blue” – that alone will make me try it.
