L’Occitane Verveine Menthe / Mint Verbena ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 28 June 2013 9 Comments

L'Occitane Verveine Menthe / Mint Verbena

L'Occitane has launched Verveine Menthe / Mint Verbena, the brand's  yearly limited edition summer version of their popular unisex Verbena fragrance. It follows last year's Verbena Sorbet.

An invigorating twist to our classic verbena eau de toilette, this fragrance is a breath of fresh air with notes of citrus and mint.

The Mint Verbena Eau de Toilette combines organic verbena extract from Provence with mint essential oil. This intensely refreshing mix of citrus and mint is perfect for summer, leaving skin lightly fragranced all day long.

Notes include green lemon, grapefruit, verbena, spearmint, peppermint, white woods and musk.

L'Occitane Verveine Menthe / Mint Verbena is available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I always liked the Citrus Verbena. This might be worth a stop at my nearest L’Occitane store as I love the smell of mint. A shower wash would be perfect.

Pretty sure there is a shower product…not sure this is in the US yet though.

Citrus Verbena started reminding me so much of Strepsils Honey and Lemon lozenges that I can no longer use it!

I’m not a fan of mint notes in fragrance, especially spearmint. But the Sorbet flanker was actually pretty nice, and I’m sure this will be well-done.

They usually do a decent job.

hm, the Sorbet flanker last year was sort of that wasn’t it? I’m a bit undecided on those l’Occitane fragrances. I owned the orginal Verbena and I find it to be quite a natural smelling rendition of the verbena, the flankers however all smelled flat and kinda cheap despite being rather simple fragrances, especially the sporty-minty note that already was in the Sorbet version… and they’re not actually THAT cheap those l’Occitanes…

You know, I never tried that one.

It’s lovely, very minty in a true lush-meadow rather than an Aqua di Gio way. In fact if I could pick a meadow – this is for Twilight fans only – I’d pick Edward and Bella’s meadow. I can still smell it three hours later, mostly green tea by now. Rather linear, no development to speak of. Not sure I’d pay for it but a gift of it would be very welcome.

As per usual the shop only had one tester. It’s launching officially next week and apparently it has more bath and body products than all the other Verbena flankers so far.

Thanks so much, good to know! I will look for it.
