L’Occitane Verbena Sorbet ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 May 2012 15 Comments

L'Occitane Verbena Sorbet

L'Occitane will launch Verveine Sorbet / Verbena Sorbet, a new limited edition summer variation on their classic unisex Verbena fragrance. It follows recent summer versions Verbena Sun (2011) and Verbena Summer Secret (2010).

The notes include lime, grapefruit, verbena, mint, white musk and white woods.

L'Occitane Verbena Sorbet will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body products.

It sounds yummy! L’Occitane’s fragrances and I have never got along well, but I could just give it a try, I suppose.

Same here – I was always too shy to walk into that tiny and people-empty L’Occitane shop…

Tiny? Empty? The local L’Occitane near me recently doubled it’s size. It’s airy, open and unless you go during dining hours or just before closing it’s a beehive of activity. Just saying.

Here where I live they have a tiny shop which is barely visited by someone. I rarely see someone inside when I pass by it.

I like several of them, but they’ve really gone up in price, esp. for what they are. I mostly stick with Lush now for cheap thrills.

I have been on a LUSH kick lately but was unprepared for the price increase! I got the travel spray size of Imogen Rose and The Smell of Freedom thinking together they would be in the $33 range (what with NYC taxes and all). I was shocked, and the SA was shocked as well, when the total came out to almost $50! She re-scanned and we also looked at the table price display and sure enough, the prices were correct. I was already committed to buying them so I did. I think my shell-shocked face prompted the SA to inquire which product I would like to have a sample of and she gave me a very generous sample of dry shampoo.

Oh, did not know there had been a price increase. Uh oh.

Bottle reminds me of Infusion d’Iris EDT. Prada should have called it Infusion d’Iris Sorbet ◕‿‿◕

I just picked up some of the Verveine Soleil/Verbena Sun in January on a deep discount, and I REALLY like it for what it is: simple and refreshing. This will be fun to smell, but I’m more excited about their re-release of Ambre where I live, and will likely do a wrist-to-wrist of that and Eau de Baux, which is on my wishlist.

I don’t think I’ve tried any of the flankers. Or if I did, have forgotten them…

Hmm … lime .. mint … verbena … are they going after a piece of Herba Fresca’s share? I always found their verbenas pretty masculine but Citron Verveine is delightful in hot weather. If they make it last over 15 minutes, I might even buy it.

If any of them lasted over 15 minutes AND if they were cheap, I might buy them too!

I agree with the above poster. The fragrances do not last long for the price that they are charged. The store near me is always people-empty. I find that the first time you enter, the sales assistants do help when you ask them yourselves. They are happy to sell you things. However, if you return or exchange products because you have changed your mind or they are not suitable for something else, they are really unpleasant about it. It is a shame that they fail to understand that skin changes to many factors e.g. climate, hormonal, and that products still have a monetary value for re-sale. Regardless, customers do not have to buy from L’Occutane and pay for such poor customer service. They lost my consumer loyalty when there are substitutable competitive brands such as Molton Brown or Jo Malone etc.
