Frapin Paradis Perdu ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 June 2013 10 Comments

Frapin Paradis Perdu

Niche line Frapin has launched Paradis Perdu, a new unisex fragrance:

Created with the vitality of Art Nouveau, Paradis Perdu is an ode to the vineyards around the Frapin estate. The perfumer, Amélie Bourgeois, drew her inspiration from the expanses of land, conjuring effervescence with curved lines, somewhere between gushing and encircling.

The notes include bergamot, grapefruit, citron, yellow mandarin, leaf blend (basil, spinach, vine, ravensara), galbanum, elemi, paradisamide, vetiver, hay, Virginia cedarwood, rosewood, labdanum, woods, mosses and musks.

Frapin Paradis Perdu is available now at Luckyscent, 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $145.

Pretty name and the combination of notes (paradisamide? anything to do with Vanessa?) sound promising but good grief the copy! “….conjuring effervescence………somewhere between gushing and encircling.” – WTF?

Sounds like an opportunity to smell good and get your daily allotment of vegetables.

      I could’ve spilled a V8.
But, seriously, Frapin’s reputation plus the scent of vegetation? I’m interested.
