Guerlain Nerolia Bianca ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 27 March 2013 13 Comments

Guerlain Nerolia Bianca

Guerlain has launched Nerolia Bianca, the latest addition to their Aqua Allegoria range. According to house perfumer Thierry Wasser, the fragrance evokes a nap in the shade of an orange tree.

Nerolia Bianca is a floral; the notes include orange, bitter orange, neroli, ylang ylang, petitgrain, orange blossom, cedar, amber and white musk.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca is available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

There’s nothing like white musk to evoke a nap in the shade of an orange tree.

It’s a nap under an orange tree right near the laundry room vent :-)

That was my complaint about Lys Soleia — the white musk. I might be done with Aqua Allegorias until the white musk phase is over.

LOL – exactly! And I agree that LS could have been so much better if the white musk was amped down a notch or three.

Lol. A friend of mine tried it, says it’s not that musky. But nonetheless..that’s the note that crashes the party for me. I’ll still try and sniff it as I am big on orange blossom.

I’m sure I’ll try it too, when it finally gets to Sephora.

Yeah I’m interested–I’ve only smelled the three my Sephora carries, Herba Fresca, Pamplelune, and Mandarine Basilic, I believe, and while none of these was precisely my thing, all of them were interesting enough to make me curious about what else is in the line!

“A nap in the shade of an orange tree.” If the fragrance lets me down I’ll be disappointed, but I’ll still have that phrase to contemplate whenever I need a moment of peace and quiet in the midst of a busy day.

There’s also a Duty-Free-only addition called Flora Rosa.

I’ve actually been excited about this since Perfume Shrine posted it. I really hope it’s good. It would never fill the hole Seville left me but hey one can dream right?

Anything orangle blossom related and I am on alert. I love the AA Flora Nerolia of a few years ago with its incense base but that is as much to do with jasmine as neroli. I also liked Lys Solea last year and am unfazed by Guerlain’s white musk so this could be a winner for me. I think I’m going to crack open the Seville again this weekend for Easter even though the weather is ARCTIC here in the UK!

Ah, I know I’m a bit late to this thread, but I received Nerolia Bianca today as a gift. I am so delighted at the way it smells. Despite the fact that hwite musc is listed as one of hte notes, I reallyd on’t pick that up at all (although I haven’t tried it on skin yet). I especially like the interplay between the sweetness of the neroli and the slight tart and bitterness of the leaves or bitter orange. I’m so excited, because I was really looking for a summer fragrance! i was hte firs tperson to purchase it at The Bay! (well, a friend got it for me, but I was accompanying her LOL). Orange blossom lovers should definitely give this a sniff!
