Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y Absolute ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 24 January 2013 7 Comments

Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y Absolute

Stella McCartney has launched L.I.L.Y Absolute, a new stronger version of last year's Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y:

Stella McCartney introduces L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE, her latest, very personal fragrance. Intensely sensual, the affirmation of a fulfilled and confident, modern woman. Mysterious and refined, it fully expresses the woods and lightens the floral notes to create a new, deeper fragrance. It begins with black truffle, spiced with black pepper. The heart is luminous, more illusive, layering lily of the valley, pink pepper and ambrette seeds over a signature of cool oak moss, dry white woods, patchouli and carnal notes of amber. Framed in gold, L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE evokes a balanced sophistication.

Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y Absolute is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Selfridges in the UK, £65.

What is it with all the intense and absolute? Oh well..

Marketing buzzwords. Everything has to be amplified to the umpteenth power and pounded into our heads so we can realize how lame our lives are if we don’t have it.

That said, I look forward to trying this. I liked the original, but it was too light for me to deem it full bottle worthy.

Eh, just the new way of introducing different concentrations. In a way, I do like it better — if it’s going to be different and not just stronger, would rather it had a “new” name.

The truffle and pepper may lift it a bit. So far I have found everything by Stella unbearably dull: I don’t know why since far more sophisticated noses than my own have granted their approval!

Plenty of other fish in the sea, right?

I look forward to try this one. Didn`t care much for the original L.I.L.Y, but I do enjoy Stella.

I liked Lily better than everybody else, I think.
