Holiday fragrance gifts 2012, part 6

Posted by Robin on 6 December 2012 9 Comments

Our series of holiday gift posts continues with more travel sizes and coffrets. There are two more posts to go: budget options / stocking stuffers and luxury items. Hopefully we'll wrap it all up (pardon the pun!) by Monday.

If you missed them, check out part 1 (scented body products), part 2 (travel sizes & coffrets), part 3 (home fragrance), part 4 (gifts for men) and part 5 (solid perfumes).

Penhaligon's sterling silver perfume bottle

From Penhaligon's, a miniature sterling silver perfume bottle on a 35" chain, to be filled with the scent of your choice (my pick: Penhaligon's Elixir). $150.

Providence Perfume Co tin gift box

From Providence Perfume Co, a punched tin box with eleven 3 ml natural perfume sprays (Gypsy, Rose Bohème, Cocoa Tuberose, Divine, Divine Noir, Lei Flower, Ginger Lily, Tabac Citron, Hindu Honeysuckle, Eva Luna and Osmanthus Oolong). $150.

Le Labo Travel Tube

From Le Labo, the "travel tube" — a metal tube which you can have engraved with initials at no extra charge. $135, includes one 10 ml spray in the fragrance of your choice; refills are 3 (mixed sets available) for $120.

 Kiehl's Aromatic Blends coffret

From Kiehl's, a coffret with all four of the Aromatic Blends fragrances in 10 ml sprays (Orange Flower & Lychee, Vanilla & Cedarwood, Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit and Fig Leaf & Sage). $55.

Origins Scents On The Go

From Origins, the 'Scents On The Go' value set, with rollerballs in the Ginger Intensified, Spring Fever and Gloomaway fragrances. $35 at Macy's.

Maison Martin Margiela Christmas Crackers

From Martin Margiela, a Christmas Cracker set: "Set of six crackers, each containing a 7ml bottle of Maison Martin Margiela's Untitled fragrance." £40 at Selfridges in the UK.

Demeter Virtual Playground

From Demeter, the "Virtual Playground" coffret, with 30 ml each of Dirt and Grass, plus 120 ml of Laundromat. $45.

$150 is a bit steep for me, but The Providence Perfume Co. set looks neat.. I’ve been wanting to try that line but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

It does look nice! Torn between that and the Penhaligon’s necklace, although not going to buy either 🙂

It’s lovely. Almost a shame it’s silver though, I hate polishing silver.

I like that necklace too but it’s not in the budget now.

Nice of Le Labo to offer mixed refill sets — though I still think I’d go for Patchouli 24 in all three. Hopefully Certain Other Houses whose names involve the initials “F” and “M” are paying attention.

Too bad Moss Gown isn’t in the Providence Perfumes set, which otherwise sounds delightful.

FM offers mixed sets in France, and never understood why they didn’t here (and actually, haven’t verified in ages, maybe none of that is true these days).

It’s very cute, although as in real life, Dirt & Grass are way more fun 🙂
