Our series of holiday gift posts continues with gift ideas for the men in your life, although there are plenty of "unisex" ideas in the other articles already. If you missed them, check out part 1 (scented body products), part 2 (travel sizes & coffrets) and part 3 (home fragrance).
From Cartier, "Cartier's iconic masculine fragrance, Déclaration, is wrapped in a genuine piece of leather for a limited edition holiday experience." $100 for 100 ml at Nordstrom.
From John Varvatos, a coffret with 15 ml bottles of John Varvatos, Vintage, Artisan and Artisan Black; all in Eau de Toilette. $49.50 at Sephora.
From Byredo, Sunday Cologne ("Citrusy and crisp, fleeting in its solidity, the ageless cologne the way you used to know it has been fitted with a new suit, baring its ankles. A tad spavaldo perhaps, but forever faithful, like a Sunday.") in a travel spray set — $110 for three 12 ml spray refills, $120 for the leather case, available in a variety of colors. Cheaper options include Sunday Cologne Body Lotion (225 ml for $65) or Sunday Cologne Body Wash (225 ml for $50).
From MCMC Fragrances, a candle in the Dude No. 1 scent: "Dude No. 1 is inspired by the man in my life. With notes of Virginia cedarwood, sandalwood, coriander and pink peppercorn. This candle is hand-poured in Brooklyn, with a blend of soy, vegetable and beeswax, and a 100% cotton wick. Approximate burn time of 50 hours." $48.
From Hermès, body lotion (left, $55) and alcohol-free moisturizing balm (right, $65), both in the Eau d'orange verte fragrance. At Bloomingdales.
At left, Tabac Original Shave cream ("The spicy, masculine fragrance of Tabac has been covering the body care needs of the active man since 1938."; $15). At center, Dominica Bay Rum Aftershave ("Dominica Bay Rum aftershave is a naturally pure organic fragrance with no artificial dyes, fragrances, or synthetic enhancers of any kind. The art of making authentic quality bay rum lies in the masterful blending of the purest of alcohol and the leaf oil extract from the Caribbean bay tree."; $12). At right, Claus Porto's Musgo Real Shampoo/Shower Gel ("Enriched with wheat proteins and coconut extracts, this no fuss shampoo/shower gel is easy to use, thoroughly cleanses your skin, and leaves hair soft and manageable...Just lather, rinse and go."; $20). All from Smallflower.
For the more youthful gentleman on your list, a Yankees "Game Ready" gift set, with bubble bath and 2 in 1 shampoo (both apple scented) plus a Yankees rubber ducky. (There's a pink set for girls, too, scented with strawberry.) $10 at NY Yankees Fragrance.
I like the idea of mini sizes from John Varvatos and I like the Sunday Cologne travel spray. It made me want to try this particular fragrance from Byredo line.
I like those leather cases, too — spendy though.
Hermes products look wonderful! Have to grab some of those for my dearest and nearest)
I usually like their lotions, too, although they’re light.
I want this Déclaration bottle, despite I would preffer the Roadster watch.
That would be a few more dollars 🙂
Yeah, just the price of a car here! lol.
Nothing I want here.
I want that John Varvatos coffret so bad.
I looked it up – spavaldo means bold or arrogant 🙂
Thanks. I was about to go look that up myself!
