Perfumers Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo talk about Lancôme La Vie Est Belle. (3 of french leading perfumers? really?)

Funny, to smell it, you would never know it had any luxe ingredients at all…
I did not spend enough time with it to say — do love that bottle though!
the bottle is pretty!
Are you joking? That bottle, particularly with the pink juice in it, looks like some kind of vicious dental appliance!
Seriously?? Not seeing that at all, I think it’s pretty!
Could just be me, I come from a family full of retainers, dental chains, braces, bruxism-guards and assorted other torture devices.
LOL! Maybe that’s it.
This smells like it has been consumer tested to death. There is nothing left in it to offend or to interest.
I have a feeling they learned their lesson from Magnifique, which nobody liked but me.
No, no, I liked it very much! I keep hoping to see it at TJ Maxx so I can snap it up cheap!
A much better ad than the new CHannel No. 5,and much cheaper. But where is Roberts?

For me that was pure perfume porn ! I loved it . I got a little sample of this yesterday and have yet to huff it . Now after seeing this I will appreciate it a little more . Thankyou for the post ,
3 of leading French perfumers..to make a fruity sweet bomb. I got angry when I smelled this on someone. I did! I went and smelled an aldehyde bomb in rebellion, lol. Hate that stuff!
Haven’t smelled it yet; but it sounds like one of those love-hate relationships, just like those provoked by Angel, Poison and even FlowerBomb (which was also from Olivier Polge, if I’m not mistaken…)
The flacon is fir for a Hitchcock movie and looks like it should contain curara or some other poison – fast and lethal.
Instead, it contains some syrupy concoction.
If one adds Flowerbomb to Infusion D’Iris and add a touch of Diesel – Fuel for Life, will the result be similar to La Vie est Belle?
Though why would one spoil good fragrance to achieve a mediocre one is another matter …
Forgot to mention …
Whatever was left from the making of La Vie Est Belle seems poured into YSL’s Manifesto – and yep, again Anne Flipo!
For some reason I get Issabella Rossellini’s face in front of my mind’s eye when I hear “Manifesto” – possibly she had a fragrance too?
This fragrance is confirmation of the suspicion that I’ve been quickly nudged out of any fragrance target audience. I loathe it and it is selling out everywhere (at my local dept. stores and Ulta AND Sephora) so this is the final kick out the door! lol
