Nest Amazon Lily, Passiflora & Midnight Fleur ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 11 September 2012 10 Comments

Nest fragrance bottle

Nest Fragrances, the candle company founded by Laura Slatkin, will launch three personal fragrances this month: Amazon Lily, Passiflora & Midnight Fleur. The "botanically based" perfumes were inspired by the paper mosaics of British artist Mary Delany; Delany's works were interpreted by Alexander Solodukho for the bottle designs.

Amazon Lily ~ developed by perfumer Christophe Laudamiel; the notes feature bergamot, lime, tangerine, lilies and driftwood.

Passiflora ~ also by perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, with green notes, passion flower, hyacinth and lily of the valley.

Midnight Fleur ~ developed by perfumer Jerome Epinette, with night-blooming jasmine, vanilla orchid, exotic woods, patchouli and black amber.

Nest Amazon Lily, Passiflora & Midnight Fleur will be available in Eau de Parfum, $115, size unknown, and in matching body products. Look for them to launch at Neiman Marcus.

It is! It makes me wish I could just buy the empty bottle and put whatever juice I wanted in it.

I admit that none of the 3 are singing out to me, but I’ll give them a shot. I think I liked one of the original Slatkin fragrances, but now I can’t even remember what they were! They certainly weren’t in such nice packaging.

I’d like to try all three of these. Their candles are lovely.

Their soaps are also amazing–some of the nicest scents! If their fragrances match that quality, they could be worth having.
