David Beckham The Essence ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 27 June 2012 10 Comments

David Beckham The Essence fragrance bottle

David Beckham has launched The Essence by David Beckham, a new fragrance for men:

A man of adventure, drive and determination, David Beckham is constantly striving to be the best man he can be. Now, you can experience the very essence of David’s spirit with his new fragrance for men: The Essence by David Beckham.

As one of the world’s most successful sports stars and celebrated style icons, David is admired and followed across the globe. Never far away from a camera lens or film crew, those quiet, precious moments are even more cherished whether it's hitting the open road or spending time with friends and family. That is where the essence of David Beckham can be found.

I will update with fragrance notes when I can.

David Beckham The Essence is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette, and can be found now at Boots in the UK.

Whilst he is very very easy on the eyes, I can’t imagine a private side to him as it all seems to be so well documented by tabloids etc. Maybe he rolls in his piles of money in his downtime and the scent is eau de banknote? Hmm.. he seems like such a nice guy that now I feel badly for being snarky. Odd, the power of image!

Be snarky, he’s not listening 😉

I want to read the notes. Signature is quite interesting for a celebrity fragrance.

I love the look of the bottle…light and blue…the look is very cool. I wonder if more Boots products will make it over to this side of the Altantic with an Amer. company buying a large stake in Boots. Target carries some of their products.

Agree, it’s a great bottle. But it’s not a Boots brand product, in fact it’s distributed by Coty IIRC.

Pretty sure the essence of David Beckham is fleeting and thin, at the best!

To be quite frank, his previous EDT (I think DB Homme) was not half bad. In fact, it was pretty good, sort of a peppery citrus cologne. Yes, a bit mainstream, but way above the rest of his perfumes line, and a notch above a number of mainstream perfumes!

So David Beckham distilled is a bottle of Davidoff? The copy says absolutely nothing about the actual fragrance.

I want this just because I’m a big fan of his other scents.
