Kylie Minogue Music Box ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 11 June 2012 24 Comments

Kylie Minogue Music Box perfume advert

Kylie Minogue will launch Music Box, a new fruity floral fragrance for women, in July:

Ever since I was a little child, I’ve loved the magical quality of an old fashioned music box. My new fragrance, Music Box, is a sensual scent that’s designed to evoke the same sense of surprise and delight. I hope that everyone finds it as captivating as I do.

The notes feature bergamot, raspberry, mara des bois (strawberry), orange blossom, rose, freesia, sandalwood, musk and amber.

Kylie Minogue Music Box will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I like the cap, reminds me of an old, antique door-key

The bottle is pretty nicely done…better than her usual!

Ms. Minogue’s styling is a straight rip-off of a Liza Minelli costume from Cabaret – updated by a pair of 2012 skank shoes.

Many of her fans would recognize the reference (as it is an obvious homage), so she isn’t trying to “get away” with anything.
And again I see anything associated with young women is “skanky”. 44 year olds shouldn’t be wearing skank shoes or touring, they should be in a retiring home 🙁

Ha…true enough. If I had those thighs (unless they’re courtesy of photoshop, I don’t know her well enough to even guess) I’d wear whatever shoes I wanted. But couldn’t have probably stood in those shoes even when I was 20.

If I wore those shoes I’d need medical attention. Oh to have legs like that though…

I firmly believe people should act their shoe size. Me, I’m 4 (US 6)!

The bottle looks like Madonna’s Truth or Dare and Aedes de Venustas had a love child (papa, don’t preach!).

The image also reminds me of an old Rolling Stone cover featuring Madonna.

Yep. My memories of the old fashioned music box have been tarnished.

Sounds like a very boring perfume. Not sensual at all. Or interesting :/

Just reread the post. Mara des bois sounds more sophisticated than strawberry, doesn’t it?

I didn’t realise that the Coty/Kylie range was still going.
Not a lot of stores carry the perfumes anymore; they seem to go to discount sites very quickly.

I bet Mariah Carey is kicking herself for not nabbing the name for her range.

I love Kylie Minogue and I am not going to knock the pose, the shoes or anything to do with her; she is a wunderkind and just as popular as Madonna but with more class around the world…I am not sure if Kylie Fever is still around but she is fabulous to me! As for the fragrance, I’d probably pass, a little too fruity for me.

Omg….retire at 44? Lol. She’s smoking hot at her age. Puts some of the younger girls to shame, may I add.. Kudos to her for strutting her stuff and creating a new fun fragrance and really cool perfume bottle.
