Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Sport ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 May 2012 12 Comments

Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Sport

Ralph Lauren has launched Polo Blue Sport, a flanker to Ralph Lauren Polo (1978), Polo Sport (1994) and/or Polo Blue (2002).

Introducing Polo Blue Sport by Ralph Lauren, a new fragrance for the sporting man who loves competing. The freshness, energy and intensity of the ocean are captured in this citrus fragrance and echo the dedicated sporting lifestyle of men who enjoy sailing the waves and pursuing vitality. Polo Blue Sport represents the sportsman for whom the ocean is his stadium.

The notes for the fresh citrus feature frosted mint, mandarin, crunchy apple, crushed leaves, cedar leaf, water fern, ginger, sage, amberwood, musk, oak moss, sandalwood and patchouli.

Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Sport can be found now at Selfridges in the UK, in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

This is what happens when flanker names get complicated and redundant! :-)

It’s kind of funny! I don’t know the Polo line well enough to look at the notes and figure out which, if any, it’s a variation of.

I only “liked” Black from the Polo series. But I’ll give this one a try. I haven’t really LOVED any sport fragrances. If anything, Code Sport is the only one out of a million that I would consider buying. Here’s hoping this one is better than the dozens that have showed up this yr. Haha!

I thought this was out for a while now? Ya, I heard it’s a cross between Polo Blue and Polo Sport. I did like Polo Sport back in the 90’s, along with the original Polo(green bottle). I enjoy the Polo line a lot. Double Black in one of my all time faves. Polo Blue, I did like, but just became too aquatic for my nose..I am really not feelin aquatics lately.

But ya, in the 90’s, guys I knew were all about Polo(green bottle) and Aspen. I melted whenever I smelled either. Lol. Memories!

Oh, could be — wouldn’t be the first time I was late!

Oh, no need at all to be sorry, I meant quite seriously that I am often late!

Perhaps it’s a flanker to Polo ‘Red, White, and Blue’. That’s the only other bottle with similar diagonal stripes on it.

Uh-oh, what’ll happen if the Polo Blue Sport man spots the Prada yacht in his stadium/ocean?
