Posted by Robin on 2 February 2012 53 Comments — Comments are closed

What is it: a 50 ml bottle of Banana Republic Wildbloom Vert, courtesy of the folks at Banana Republic.

How do I get it: For a chance to win, leave a comment telling me that you live in the US. Plus, tell me your favorite wildflower, or your favorite floral perfume.

Be sure to use the “Post a comment” box; do not reply to another comment! Replies to comments will be deleted!

The contest will be open until noon or so on Saturday, and I'll announce the winner on Monday.

The fine print: Don't enter the contest unless I have permission to use the email address in your reader account to contact you. If the email address in your reader account is incorrect, you might want to fix it. If you are the winner and you fail to send me your mailing details within a couple weeks, I’ll give your prize away to someone else.

I do live in the U.S., in Florida in fact, which is why I can say my favorite wildflowers are the blossoms you find on old, often abandoned citrus trees. One scrubby tree can scent an entire neighborhood! And my favorite floral would be a box of rose scented powder from the Charleston Historical Society.

I live in the US and my favorite wildflower is honeysuckle. It can be planted, but it the midwest it’s liable to grow anywhere.
My favorite floral fragrance is Tocca Florence. Looking at the notes for WildBloom Vert, it looks like it uses some of the same as Florence which means I’ll probably fall head over heels for it!

Almost forgot, you can use my email! :0)

I live in the U.S. and you may use my e-mail. I like many floral perfumes – Jo Malone’s Honeysuckle and Jasmine, Diorissimo, Carteir’s new Baiser Vole….My favorite wildflower? Most of the ones I’m familiar with don’t reallyhave a scent, but i grew up with lilacs all over the yard. Does that count?

Gardenia, hands down, far and away, is my fave smelly flower; daisy is my fave non-smelly (at least I can never smell anything from a daisy) just because it’s my birth flower.

I live in the US too. My favorite wildflowers are the woodland ones, because they’re so delicate. Where I live we have blue harebells in the woods. But bleeding hearts are one of my favorites, along with lily of the valley and hostas. For floral scents: right now I enjoy Chopard’s Happy Spirit (raspberry and osmanthus), as well as my old-fasioned favorite Ombre Rose (powdery rose).

It would be impossible for me to choose my favorite floral perfume, I think, but one of my favorite wildflowers is Queen Anne’s Lace, which was all over the place in my native state of NC. Since moving to Texas, I do love me some bluebonnets as well. pretty stuff. :)

Hi Robin, I live in the USA. My favorite wildflower would probably have to be lavender – I have yet to find an essential oil company that can get the exact scent. I’m not sure if it’s a floral fragrance, but I love Chanel Chance eau tendre.
