Ralph Lauren will follow the 2010 Big Pony Collection for men with a new quartet for women, due to launch in March.
Big Pony 1 ~ blue bottle; a sporty citrus floral with grapefruit and blue lotus.
Big Pony 2 ~ pink bottle; a fruity floriental with cranberry and Tonka mousse.
Big Pony 3 ~ yellow bottle; a "free spirited" scent with pear and mimosa.
Big Pony 4 ~ purple bottle; a floriental with wild cherry and purple amber.
Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection for women fragrances will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml, concentration unknown.

Update: the perfumers for the four fragrances are Bruno Jovanovic, Honorine Blanc, Laurent Le Guernec and Olivier Gillotin, respectively. (via wwd)
Tonka mousse, is a dessert note?
I assume it’s a creamy vanilla-ish note.
I cant believe the mens line actually sold well enough to warrant this? I thought they were the worst RL’s created to date.
They were not brilliant fragrances, but that doesn’t always stop things from selling like hotcakes.
The male ones are so so-so. Let’s see these ones.
I’m sure I’ll give them a sniff.
I tell that way but I don’t resist to a sniff either! LOL.
They sound like something that might be served on a fancy dessert trolley. Mouthwatering yumminess. I don’t want my man smelling like a fruit basket though.
Just so we realize, each one is clearly labelled as to what number it is….off putting.
The name “Big Pony Collection” and the brightly colored bottles immediately makes me think of My Little Pony, which I very much doubt is what Ralph Lauren intended. Do you suppose there’s a “Friendship is magic” flanker in the works?
I have been on the record about disliking “cutesy” scents before… but…
I was a my little pony fanatic. I had like 80 of those suckers back in the day. I WANT MY LITTLE PONY PERFUME. NOW. lol
Yes, I think the colors and the design make them look cheap. What’s the concept behind the design, I wonder? Can’t fathom it. Judging from the design, it’s targeting the youth-ish market, but even so, cheap is not a good look for perfume.
I agree the numbers are not attractive – and purple No 4 has ‘purple’ amber – does that smell wildly different from amber coloured amber?
I smelled these this morning – interestingly No 4 was the favourite, and to me ‘purple amber’ smells entirely the same as regular amber. So I have no idea what ‘purple amber’ even is!
There’s no such thing, it’s just a fantasy description.
You knew it was only a matter of time…
