First up, a commercial for Donna Karan's Pure DKNY Verbena. The original commercial is no longer available, sorry!
A short (about 4 minutes) documentary on the work Donna Karan's DKNY brand is doing with CARE to help provide financial opportunities for women. The model is Angela Lindvall. The vanilla fragrance she talks about is the original Pure DKNY.
I want to try that Pure Verbena
It’s fine, but pretty basic: a pale light lemony scent.
I guess Chanel Allure Blanche is still better than this. Especially when you say DKNY is pale…
Chanel Allure Blanche, IMHO, is a million times better.
Wow! That’s a “trump card” for me, hearing somethink like that from you. I discovered Allure Blanche just 2 weeks ago (I don’t know why but since I became interested in perfume I always stood away from Chanel, because I thought Chanel’s are too popular) but It caught my attention so much it made me think I actually might like the fragrance family it represents. I’m hoping to get Blanche for birthday, if not I’ll buy it myself.
Allure Blanche is really well done — best thing Chanel has done for men in some time.
Then, I’m happy that I discovered it
I sure wish I liked the fragrances better. I bought a spray/lotion set of Pure Verbena at half price because I thought everyone needs a verbena scent — it doesn’t even smell like lemon verbena!
Joe, same here. The inspiration is better than the product, IMHO.
One would do better to just get some L’Occitane Verbena … or what I consider a fabulous cheap thrill: Pré de Provence Verveine Massage/Body Oil (leaves an excellent scent as a bath or post-shower oil).
Totally agree.
