Posted by Robin on 14 September 2011 14 Comments

Issey Miyake L'Eau de Issey Or Absolu / Gold Absolute

Issey Miyake has launched new* limited edition holiday flankers for L'Eau d'Issey: L'Eau d'Issey Or Absolu / Gold Absolute and L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Or Absolu / Gold Absolute.

Two warm and enveloping fragrances that correspond to the scents associated with Christmas - L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Eau de Toilette Concentree is a floral fragrance with an amber trail, and L’Eau d’Issey Eau de Parfum Absolue is a woody fragrance with an amber trail.

L’Eau d’Issey Gold Absolute ~ With osmanthus, lotus, lily, jasmine, woods and amber. 50 ml Eau de Parfum, $85.

L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Gold Absolute ~ With mandarin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cashmere wood and amber. 50 100 ml Eau de Toilette Concentrée, $79.

Both fragrances can be found now at Neiman Marcus in the US.

* Last year's collection was Noir Absolu; these might be the same scents in new packaging.

The fragance it´s same than last years. I quite like the men´s. By the way, I think there is a mistake and they switched descriptions: pour homme is the woody amber and pour femme must be floral amber

I miss the Fleur de Bois… that was my favourite Issey flanker by far.

Nothing reminds me of a snowy New England Christmas more than lotus!

It does seem kind of silly with regard to the women’s, but the notes of the men’s do sound like smells I associate with Christmas. I may have to sniff this one if I come across it.

Last year’s Homme Noir Absolu was a 100ml for $82 and this one’s a 50ml for $79?! I should have gotten last years for double the size and only $3 more. Haha. : )

They just went up on Dillards, and NM made a mistake — the men’s is clearly 100 ml. Sorry!
