A man’s world, part 2

Posted by Robin on 18 March 2011 8 Comments

Actress Keira Knightley in yet another teaser for the upcoming Chanel Coco Mademoiselle commercial. If you missed it, see A man's world, part 1, or listen to Keira Knightley talk about the fragrance.

Are there teasers for commercials in any arena other than perfume? I cannot seem to get used to the idea that there should be teasers for commercials.

Update: this video has been removed from YouTube; you can find the "final" Chanel commercial here.

Making Paris so empty has got to be VERY expensive :-)

This makes me a bit cranky: the teasers are sort of like advertisements for advertisements, aren’t they?

I feel like I’ve sometimes seen a progression of ads for films in the past, beginning with shorter and more cryptic. But it’s been a while since I’ve watched much television. It might have been just the long and short versions of the same ad.

Also, it might have been overseas and for television shows rather than films! ;-)

It makes me cranky too, not least because after seeing 3 or 4 teasers, the actual commercial is usually a let down.

Just as trailers are often better than the movies they’re pushing.
