Looks like Axe is going for a slightly older demographic.
Maybe so…I hardly noticed, but no doubt you’re right.
Interesting.
I thought it was cute.
Saw this on tv last night… my 7 year old was trying to figure it out, and seemed very disappointed by the ending.
S/he was expecting something much better than silly boy w/ street bike, I’m sure!
Yup, she just didn’t get what the angels could possibly want with that boy! 😉 …And she was expecting more of a story; she found the angels rather impressive.
The angels were very impressive. Much better than the Victoria’s Secret “Angels”. True, the boy is unimpressive but I think wallflower boys are part of their main demographic. 🙂 Now if that boy were Henry Cavill, I could see falling angels being an epidemic! lol (Sorry, been watching too much of The Tudors lately.)
I knew what was coming from Robin’s title and description and I was still disappointed, too! The production values were great, the angels were truly gorgeous (and some of them could actually act!) and I love the drama of the first fall, the flapping and the crash and the old lady weeping. It seems a shame to waste it all on some guy with deodorant spray…
Part of what is interesting to me about the Axe advertising is that clearly they’ve got plenty of $ to burn on advertising. The production values seem better than that for many of your more expensive fragrances.
I love this commercial as the setting looks typically italian-mediterranean.. what my grandfather’s village must look like now.
I think it is fine and it borthers in the melodramatic.. perhaps not to all, but to me the part with the angels falling heavily into the ground and the italian lady that looks like my aunt assumpta’s neighboor tearing up… well it looks like an end-of-days kind of movie trailer!!! got me worried the first time (sorry it’s the Catholic upbringing!) 🙂
borthers=borders .
huh? “Axe” is called Lynx in the UK :S
I like the advert
I’d be more interested in procuring one of those angels’ dresses than the boy, but this was more enjoyable than other things that Axe has come up with. I especially liked the heavenly choir singing Air’s ‘Sexy Boy.’
Loved the ad – but couldn’t they find a male with ANY presence?
Adored the ad – except for the cologne. It has great premise, beautiful shooting; I just wish it wasn’t for a deoderant that can knock me out at 100 meters.
