Kim Kardashian Gold ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 11 February 2011 23 Comments

Kim Kardashian Gold

Kim Kardashian will launch Kim Kardashian Gold in April. The new fragrance for women follows her 2010 debut, Kim Kardashian by Kim Kardashian.

Gold is a luxury that stands the test of time, a universal symbol of sophistication and glamour. Like a stunning piece of precious jewelry, Gold lends everyday style a surge of seductive sparkle and timeless beauty.

The notes include bergamot, grapefruit, pink pepper, jasmine, rose, violet, patchouli, sandalwood, amber, benzoin and musk.

Kim Kardashian Gold will be $65 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via kardashianfragrance, with many thanks to jonr951 for the link!)

The Kardashians are taking over the world, it seems. Possibly using that horrid Unbreakable ad to stun people into submission. Fortunately, in the UK their powers are limited.

Sorry for odd post- clearly more sleep/caffeine required!

LOL…their powers are very limited in my universe as well…I hear virtually nothing about them unless it’s about perfume, or I’m at the dentist (which is the only place I read celebrity news magazines).

Perhaps the UK has strict guidelines against eye pollution! That Khloe travesty was one of the most embarassing thigs I have looked at.

I’m digging the added gold to the bottle. The notes seem more up my alley this time around. Let’s hope! : )

Rose and violet! I have to say I love every single note that is listed for this scent. If I like it, I would buy it. I don’t care whose name is on it! Thanks, Robin!

I only care insofar as it’s a clue as to what they might have spent on the materials. Based on the first KK scent, I’d say you could probably find a better rose + violet elsewhere, but you never know.

I’ll admit that after finally trying the sample I received of her last fragrance … it wasn’t bad. I tried it after seeing it among bottles of Amaouge, Serge Lutens & L’Artisan at a kitschy boutique and being told by the SA to at least give it a sniff. I feel like I’d have to decant it out of the bottle into something less … telling.

That said, I may sniff this but I don’t know if I could in good conscience buy it.

I thought it wasn’t bad too; if they’d spent a little more on it, it would have quite nice.

Exactly. I wouldn’t be opposed to someone gifting me a bottle of it, but I’m pretty sure anyone who’d buy me perfume in the first place wouldn’t buy me KK. They know me too well and I’d rather their money be put toward something else … like Aesop’s Mystra which I may just ultimately gift myself for Valentine’s Day.

I’m with Cavewoman..if it’s good, it’s good. Plus, I like that bottle. It has an Asian twist to the design that reminds me of my L’eau de Kasaneka (ah, my beloved..).

Like others here I was kind of surprised by the first one; I don’t know much about the woman, but it’s nice to see a celebuscent that, like Halle Berry’s offerings, not only isn’t bad—is pretty good. I didn’t seek the first one, but tested it when I came across it, and will do the same with this one.
The bottles look good, and if someone gifted me one, I’d probably keep it! :)

What I really want is those gardenias in her hair. And maybe I’ll take the sleek dark hair, too.

I like those gardenias also. But I feel ashamed, I really don’t know who she is.

Don’t feel bad about not knowing who she is! Her claim to fame is releasing a sex tape after her friend Paris Hilton leaked hers. I find it gross that public whoring is so popular with our culture in America right now. Least of all do I want to give her my $$ for her juice. She and her sisters were busy screwing up teenagers credit by pushing a ‘Karashian’ credit card that was a total scam recently. Totally horrible people them Kardashians.

I wonder why they chose pics from the old ad. When she showed another pic she had on a silver dress

Hello all. My first post here after being a long time ‘lurker’. this entire family lost me after they issued that profoundly expensive ‘debit’ card aimed at teenagers. They withdrew after a backlash. But it pointed out to me that what they are really interested in is only the money.

KK’s first fragrance was an assault on my olfactory senses when I tried out the tester. I am not expecting much from this either.
Whatever happened to the days when you actually became a celebrity because you actually had a job in show business? Perhaps I am antiqued in my thoughts.

I got to try Gold at Macys today. It reminded me of Glow After Dark. But I find it to be much better. IMHO. Here’s hoping you try it soon Robin! Haha. I really like the gold bottle. : )
