Diptyque RosEros

Posted by Robin on 23 January 2011 5 Comments

A short film for the new Roseros candle duo from Diptyque, created in collaboration with graphic design duo Kuntzel + Deygas. The song is RosEros, by Bertrand Burgalat and April March, lyrics by Pascal Mounet.

Below the jump, more about the Roseros candles.

Diptyque Roseros candles

Like a song with echoing voices, two fragrances intertwine to create a new melody. Revealing and releasing each other at once. The boxes feature two logo spaces that embrace to form a heart. Nothing less than musical harmony.

ROSE - Romantic melody of a garden rose. Its music unites Piaget Rose with the accords of Egyptian Basil essence, Blackcurrant, Violet and sweet and sensual Musks.

EROS - Imagine a dense and spicy wild rose. Rugosa Rose sings over accords of Myrrh essence, Laos Benzoin, Peru balm, Cedar and Sandalwood.

The set costs $78. (via diptyqueparis)

I thought it very nicely done, but perhaps a bit longer than need be.

The blend of these two candles seems like it would make for a really fantastic room fragrance. And the packaging idea is too cute.
