I used to love the smell of their citrus scrub — just like gingerbread.

I have just found my Burt Bee’s adoring sister’s Christmas present! I hope they are at the Burt’s displays in December.

Pretty sure they’ll be there much sooner than that!

They’ll only be available on the Burt’s Bees website and at ULTA stores.

I love the smell of their baby products and used/use them on my daughters. I will have to sniff these!

Oh, misspellings. They make me sad and I lose confidence in the company. I know that probably sounds terrible.

No, I’m on your side. I know the two things probably don’t have anything to do with one another, but I can’t help thinking that if they don’t even pay attention to the little details like spelling–which could easily be fixed with a quick trip to the spellchecker–then they don’t really care enough about how they present themselves, and how can have any confidence that they take any care in their products?

I mean, I don’t completely believe this, but I still feel it, as you do. It takes no time and costs nothing to run your ad copy through a spellchecker, for god’s sake.

Still, these do sound very nice.

I totallly agree with both of you. I believe things spill out from one field to another: if you’re careless in one part of your life, there’s a good chance you’re careless elsewhere too. 1) the company should employ people who are literate to write their advertising copy; 2) if they can’t be bothered to get the right people, they should tell them to make sure they use the technology at their disposal to see that what they write ‘looks’ literate at least.

I hate it when people say, ‘Oh, but I wrote that very quickly and didn’t take the trouble to check stuff.’ If you know how to spell and use grammar, it comes naturally and it’s no trouble at all to get it right.

I’m with all of you. How much faith can we have in their quaility ingredients if they can’t even hire someone to proof copy? Being an English prof makes me surlier than most on this subject, granted, but still…

Maybe they put so much into their ingredients, they couldn’t afford a good copy writer. How’s that for glass half full? :D

I love the smell of their Carrot face mist. Ack – I just checked their website and don’t see it! I have had it a long time, maybe it’s d.c’d.

Simply Beautiful sounds pretty odd. Plantain and banana? But you know I’ll be sticking my nose in these when I see them at Whole Foods.

Oh fun! I’m a sucker for solids and that Naturally Beautiful is calling to me right now! If the peach doesn’t entirely eclipse the jasmine and tea, that would be delightful!

So Disappointed they didn’t include sandalwood in the Sensual lineup.

I’ve been happy with the quality of Burt’s Bees products, and will definitely give these a sniff, particularly Naturally Beautiful. Wish more scents came in solid form – so handy for carrying in a purse, with no fear of breakage or leaks.

This is great for those swap parties that have a ten dollar cap on gifts.
