Scented items for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2010, part 1

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...here are a few companies offering "shop for the cure" items:

Melange Perfumes Floral Notes Palette

From Melange Perfumes, the Floral Notes Palette with four solid perfumes to wear alone or layer (Jasmine & Neroli, Casablanca Lily & Tuberose, Japanese Tea Rose & Sakura and Frangipani & Gardenia). $28, with 20% going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.


Archipelago Botanicals Ribbons of Love candle

From Archipelago Botanicals, the Ribbons of Love candle: "Hand-poured soy candle held in a pretty glass jar delivers an uplifting blend of pink grapefruit, clementine and pomelo...Archipelago Botanicals will donate 10% of profits to City of Hope and other leading research institutions that are working to find a cure for breast cancer." $29 at Nordstrom.


Thierry Mugler Womanity bath & body products

From Thierry Mugler, body products in the Womanity fragrance: buy any Womanity body product ( Shower Gel, Body Milk or Body Cream) at a department store in October and Thierry Mugler will donate the proceeds to Look Good Feel Better.


Jo Malone Red Rose perfume

Jo Malone is going to donate $20,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation whether you buy anything or not, and if you happen to be shopping on their website, you can add a donation of your own to your shopping cart.


Philosophy Shower For The Cure

From Philosophy, the Shower For A Cure 3-in-1 (shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath): "the creamy formula contains a touch of comforting milky notes and a kiss of tangerine nectar for a unique scent that delicate, feminine and sophisticated. philosophy donates 100% of its net proceeds from the sale of this product." $20 at Philosophy.

    The Philosophy shower stuff sounds interesting – sounds like it might smell like a 50/50 bar or Creamsicle.

      All the EL companies are going all out this year…I think EL started this whole thing anyway, so that makes sense.

    If it’s the saem formula from a few years ago, it’s actually more subtle than that – a very nice, light scent, different in a pleasant way. I like it quite a bit – and the cause is a good one!

    That candle sounds really nice, and I wonder if the Philosophy product would layer well with CSP’s Vanille Abricot…
