In each city we tested, girls reported different scent preferences, indicating that geography has a direct correlation to what scents they find attractive. Guys should heed these findings as research has shown that when women are in the presence of a preferred scent, they are more likely to project positive feelings on those around them, which can lead to increased attraction.
— Dr. Alan Hirsch of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation did some research for Axe to find out what smells girls like. In New York, it's coffee. Find out the rest at the Axe page on Facebook.
i like the smell of coffee
I like the smell of coffee too….better than the taste actually….but I did grow up in NY….of course this study has no validity and I doubt their statistics have any level of significance. I’m rather certain they found that ALL the girls just LOVE a guy in AXE too….shocking, really. 😉
They didn’t say what Northwest girls like!! Oh well, I’ll take a guess. Either coffee or rain.
I need help. This has nothing to with the above comments. I am trying to locate Aire Loco by Loewe in the United States. Can anybody out there help me please.
So far as I know, it is not sold here yet.
I like the smell of coffee too, but I don’t know that I would want my husband to smell like coffee. I read about a study that showed that the most sexually arousing scent for men was pumpkin pie! So far, I have not heard of any pumpkin pie perfumes. I think all this means is that we are very much influenced by our stomachs and our taste buds.
I encountered the same study– apparently, Harvey Prince used its results to produce a fragrance called Eau Flirt, guaranteed to raise the wearer’s sex appeal. Unfortunately, Eau Flirt does not smell anything like pumpkin pie, but rather like cheap chocolate, indoles, and green tea combined in a sickening brew. I take from this that statistics, while useful in their own sphere, tend to fall flat when applied to an art as ephemeral and emotional as perfumery.
