Narciso Rodriguez Essence Eau de Parfum Intense ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 10 September 2010 15 Comments

Narciso Rodriguez Essence Eau de Parfum Intense

Narciso Rodriguez has launched Essence Eau de Parfum Intense. The new limited edition fragrance in the Musc collection is a variation on 2009's Narciso Rodriguez Essence.

Irresistible and addictive, this fragrance radiates with the sensual subtlety of a modern musk. It opens with floral and powdery accords, evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue as an intensified amber scent emerges. The dry down is eminently wearable and powerfully sensual—the light essence of musk temptingly lingers underneath notes of iris and rose petal.

Narciso Rodriguez Essence Eau de Parfum Intense is available in 50 and 100. (quote via sephora, additional information via moodiereport)

This fragrance is amazing! Gone is the metallic screech of essence, actually it’s buried deep, deep under dry rose powder and very clean musk.

My one complaint is that it wears too close to the skin

Sounds closer to the NR For Her?

Actually it is – maybe more to the eau de parfum (baby pink bottle). I had the black bottle (EDT) which was harsher with tobacco and leather notes and I loved it – some of the time anyway.

Essence Musc Intense is like a mix of 40% Essence and 60% For Her EDP. It starts like Essence minus the metal, and it grows into creamy, dusty musc with a bit of Essence in the background. It is very very modern, yet sexy and has the potential of a classic. Hopefully it won’t remain a LE!

        I think it’s pretty well distributed…

Does this one has lily to? The lily note on the original one made me sick…

Maybe I’m just having a bad hair day, but nothing about this sounds very intense. I have yet to smell any in this line – I should probably give it a go.

Oooh, I need to go find this. I like Essence very much except for that mildly disturbing metallic note that persists through the dry down. The body lotion is delightful – and i like NR For Her as well. This one definitely sounds worth a try!

This is much nicer then the original essence. I got my bottle today. It does wear close, but i think that is the charm of a Musk fragrance. I also received the NR for Her Musc Intense EDP…..i adore this one too. Saks carries it now. Looked for this one for a while, could only find the parfum oil which is not what i wanted 🙂

Hmmmm!!. Well if there’s anyone out there, that’s experienced Must II de Cartier. This is it, but because it’s a limited edition it won’t be long before it’s gone. In the end you’ll fall in love and then it’s gone. Sounds like a real genuine love addiction. Why break my heart ?
