Ok, she lost me at “wise”.
I am all for advertising campaigns to stop trolling the schoolyards or People magazine for busty, oil covered beauties to writhe around on random objects/ vehicles.
But this was just a bit too pretentious for me, the subdued monologue coupled with the ad copy makes me want to hand Ms.Krueger some Red Bull and see what happens.

It was very low-key for Calvin Klein, which I do appreciate, but agree — not sure it was compelling enough.

Maybe I’m just too cranky today – my 2 yr.old lost her glasses somewhere in the house – I just want a little vibrancy with my sophistication.

    I like it a lot!

Really, it makes me *almost* want to sniff the fragrance.
Miss Kruger is just so beautiful.
If I had to associate these yellow-white visuals to a fragrance, and the name “beauty”, I would expect to smell something like amaranthine.
But it’s Calvin Klein, so I know it won’t be anything like BD’s exciting take on banana leaves…

I want to sniff it regardless. Actually can’t think of a commercial that ever changed my mind (in either direction) about a fragrance.

They are sort of pointless aren’t they? Although this one was VERY Calvin Klein. That’s probably more likely to sell people to try it than Diane Kruger saying a bunch of words.

This ad coveys to me what the perfume should be, minimalist, sophisticated, aimed at women, rather than girls. (Like Calvin Klein sportswear, actually). Maybe it even smells a little like a calla. It will be interesting to see if the perfume actual relates to the image conveyed.

Yep, older women (40+, according to their PR) — but the Calvin Klein Collection line, not the sportswear.

This ad looks outdated for some reason and seems more suited for a new-age confidence-building program or something.

You can see her Beauty right through that dress! She’s actually quite lovely and seems to be a perfect fit for CK. I don’t have a good history with their scents, though.

I love Diane Kruger but the ad is kind of a downer. They could have done something more with her, she’s so elegant and exotic yet relatable, perfect fit for Calvin Klein.
