Smell Bent Leisure Cruise, part two ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 30 July 2010 26 Comments

Smell Bent Leisure Cruise 2

Indie line Smell Bent has launched a new Leisure Cruise collection (you can see the original set of limited edition Cruise Collection fragrances here):

After scouring the globe for glamorous locales – and even more glamorous scents – we’ve returned with an itinerary fit for a king. Our new Leisure Cruise line, part deux as the French say, is packed with 5 new scents, available in both oil and edt spray. We’ve got offerings from the East, the Tropics and even a stop Down Under. So take a Dramamine and put on your topsiders, cause smell bent’s headed back out to sea!

The fragrances include:

Tibet Ur Bottom $ ~ "incense served up three ways with galangal and ironwood. be at one with this guy."

Tok'Yo Mama ~ "fresh squeezed yuzu and crisp hinoki over steeped genmaicha tea. you’ll be turning japanese."

Gaugain-Tuan ~ "tiare flower, bergamot, vanilla, caramel and sandalwood. smells better than any painting we’ve sniffed."

Never Never Land ~ "rich amber, desert rose, guaiac wood, vetiver and the arid outback. easier than a 20 hour plane ride."

Chile Vanilli ~ "vanilla bean absolute spiced with light patchouli and cinnamon bark."

The Smell Bent Leisure Cruise fragrances are available in 8 ml Perfume Oil, 4 or 45 55 ml Eau de Toilette. They can be purchased at the Smell Bent website. (via newsletter from Smell Bent)

Bet I’m not the only one who wants to try these just for the names!

but I want one inspired by Quezon City so I can pretend I’m visiting my ~*pen pal*~ who lives there.

I might possibly like Tibet Ur Bottom $ or Chile Vanilli…

      Ask and you will receive!

I sampled Prairie Nymph, Saddle Warmer, and Hungry, Hungry Hippies. Prairie Nymph was a winner – a nice combination of honey, carnation and a touch of fruit. Hungry, Hungry Hippies was fun. Saddle Warmer was a scrubber on me – just too dry and astringent.

I have Felix Navidad and Monaco-Dependent. Of the two I prefer Felix but it is a fun line to play with for sure. I have a number of samples I’ve been working through.

I like the sound of Tibet Ur Bottom $ and Never Never Land. This does seem like a really fun line, I haven’t tried any of them yet.

It has a Trader Joe’s kind of vibe to it… wonder if he’s tried to get them to carry these.

I just totally caved on this boring Fri afternoon and bought one of their sample packs. I’ve been wanting to try some of these “Smellies” for a while now!! Their website cracks me up!

Thanna & H – I will!! After I get them and try them out, I’ll post in an open thread. I picked the Chile Vanilli, NN Land, and some others from their site: Bollywood or Bust, Prairie Nymph, and Monaco something. I didn’t notice until today, but Smell Bent must be having some promo discount on shipping for orders of their new frags. Just sayin…. I love the cartoon artwork on their site.

I’d buy Chile Vanilli just to be able to say that’s what I’m wearing. And then people would get confused and think I said Milli Vanilli, and hilarity would ensue.
