Peter Andre Conditional Pour Homme ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 8 June 2010 15 Comments

Peter Andre Conditional

UK-based singer and reality TV star Peter Andre (ex-husband of Katie Price) has launched Conditional Pour Homme, a sequel to last year's Unconditional Pour Femme:

Peter has been heavily involved in all elements of the design process from the packaging to the creation of the actual product to deliver the most personal fragrance possible.

Peter says "I love the whole process I go through to design a fragrance, I find it so interesting. There is a lot of work that goes into making a product like this & to find the right scent that is personal to me. I hope the men like it as much as I do"

The notes include lime, bergamot, mint, jasmine, cardamom, nutmeg, fir balsam, patchouli, papyrus, amber, cashmere, vetiver and vanilla.

Peter Andre Conditional is exclusive to The Perfume Shop, and is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via theperfumeshop)

I used to work at the Perfume Shop! I’ll give this a sniff next time I pass as the notes sound interesting, particularly papyrus, but if it smells like his general image then I imagine it will be very sweet and MOR. You never know though.

He’s already on my bad side by naming the women’s Unconditional and the men’s Conditional. Hiss, boo.

Why? I have no idea what it means. Women deserve unconditional love, men don’t?

No, dear Robin, this concept is way too subtle for this guy. Coming from someone who married the not-so-subtle Katie Price, “Unconditional” has got sort of a disturbing hint at it…

LOL…perhaps, although also possible that the whole thing is not so very well thought out, and means little or nothing!

ooh I think I know why,
because he was working through the process of making unconditional for women while he was still married to Katie.
        (I think)

and he wanted to be with her forever and do everything to save their marriage. sadly it didn’t work out.

so when he got round to making the mens fragrance, it couldn’t be “un”conditional to match the womens because he no longer unconditionally loves Katie. it could also represent the uncertainty of new love ?

Being the intrepid person that I am, I searched for one of his singles on youtube and proceeded to watch almost a full minute. Oh my. Someone need to invent a neti pot for flushing terrible terrible things from the brain.

LOL! A neti pot! And who really knows what he’s saying with the conditional thing, Maybe it’s just hype or he’s trying for the mysterious. Well, regardless, the notes sound interesting, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way for it. Most celeb fragrances just don’t appeal to me.

The ‘Unconditional’ was about his disabled stepson Harvey, I believe? Which might be a nice gesture and might also be horribly exploitative.

I sniffed one of these in Selfridges a couple of days ago; I think it must have been ‘Unconditional’ as it was very sweet and I don’t think blokes would wear it.

Ok, I thought that was was Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters for a moment and got really excited about the prospect of a scent-line inspired or even fronted him. Alas, I hoped too soon.

While no fan of the very concept of a celebrity scent, shouldn’t the celebrity at least be, well, famous? It doesn’t count when they need nametags, methinks.

This might have worked out for teens if he would have shown his famous abs. He is famous for oily hair, abs and later Katie Price.

Actually it is just funny. And yes, young men love sweet stuff! Think of the red JOOP that was/is very popular in Germany. Yiiek.
