This one doesn’t sound to bad. Is it going to be released in U.S.?

Sorry, no idea. But don’t think I’ve seen any of the Kylie Minogue scents here other than at the discounters?

    Yahoo!

Anyother pink non-entity – probably at least.

I feel like we ought to start expecting more? But given the notable lack of influence on perfumes that these celebrities actually have (minus, say, Sarah Jessica Parker, and possibly a few others who at least gave approval or otherwise) I guess we should start expecting more from the teams coming up with these pink little things…

Then again, maybe we should be blaming people who buy perfume, who must be, after all, the engine that forces the Big Boys into producing such pinky-fruity non-entities in the first place?

I hate to say it since she appears to be an interesting individual, but this fragrance sounds sublimely routine….and I’ve never seen a Kylie Minogue fragrance anywhere, so it’s unlikely I’ll get a chance to sniff it. Which is sort of sad because I have a very curious nose.

I have never seen one either. I think they’re big in Europe & Australia.

Im not sure that they are BIG here but they are available, in vast quantities, at all the perfume outlets – and I have to admit that I have a 30ml bottle of Showtime for very warm summery days-light strawberry, floral smell. I will try the new one when it arrives-I tend to try most new smells!

Call me a weirdo, but this actually sounds sort of good to me. The name is atrocious, but I could possibly overlook that.

I know—Pink Sparkle—it sounds like a small plastic bottle that comes attached with a hair bow to a pair of little girl’s glitter jellies….or with a pink glitter My Little Pony…..or little girl’s pink jellies with a My Little Pony emblem on the tops….

You got that right, Daisy! Really, we should all try to sniff it– if it’s not too dreadful an example of its kind, the 15ml bottle could make a nice gift for little daughters or nieces.

I would buy a My Little Pony perfume. I wouldn’t wear it, but I would buy it.

It sounds OK, nothing worth looking for though.
    I don’t like the name – very Mariah…

I’m more curious to sniff the perfume her sister’s been working on for the past year. Given her own taste’s it should be something a bit more unique then this.

Yes, this is a drugstore-level perfume in Germany (though Douglas and such will carry, it, too, only for a higher price).
The descriptions always sound good but in reality none of that seems to be there.. (or maybe I’m just really bad at distinguishing those notes), just some sweet-floral mess. It was the same with Couture, which at the beginning of last years season I had considered to buy in fall (when it gets cleared out) but after some tryings didn’t want anymore.

I remember the perfume-creation descriptions you posted here, Robin, about how it does not need to be the actual scent of the ingredient, but just some ingredient/chemical which mimicks it (like some”vanilla-white flower-complex”, for example represented by a specific formula).
To me it seems they spin a huge story about it and people are trying to detect those scents in the perfume, while it might be with another story, we would be looking for different scents in the same_perfume – depending on what was listed in the ad.
That not just for Kylie Minogue’s perfumes but of course in general; only that hers seem to also fall into the category that no matter what the description, the result is just always sweet-ish :D

Of course I’ll still be trying it out but I`m not expecting anything XD
To those who can’t try it out, I think you might not be missing anything special, plus these (like other drugstore-level new introductions) are pretty much seasonal products, they vanish often after not even a year from most stores, or vanish altogether.

i agreed with you that a new album need promotion and if the album is good the perfum promo will work . it the same for movie stars or music stars . Once the sale of the album drops,we need a new perfum and new promo. This just a speening wheel …a so many peoples get hook on it .

it’d be very ‘champagne’-y if they’d throw a bucketload of aldehydes on top.

    now THAT would sparkle :D

If anyone finds a place to get a sample (or bottle) in the US, please help us out and post!

Kylie is getting big here in Los Angeles and some of my friends would die for a sniff of this.

long time reader, first time comment poster. “our” kylie’s ever increasing (a flanker or new fragrance every few months, it seems) range is available in discount chemists/pharmacies here in australia at super low prices. i bought a 50ml EdT bottle of her not bad-but-one-dimensional men’s forray, inverse, for only AU$15! pink sparkle is a shocking name, indeed. sounds so jessica simpson! or a sex toy. i’m a kylie fan from way back but i feel apart from showtime, which fits her perky petit pop star image, everything else seems incongruous. why darling? why couture?
